This is a electrician must to tap out those common type screws used in electrical boxes that get cross threaded and corroded. Then it is a quick step to the right screwdriver bit to install the screw.

The 6 in 1 tap is great in itself but it goes better when you add it with straight blade and phillips tips. Theres a few times i had to use it to re thread screws at the site and had no problem with them. Just having the other tips in there made it even faster to get things done.

This is a great tool for repairing threads on outlet boxes that got filled in with texture and or paint, and of course that one box that wasn’t threaded from the start. It also comes with standard bits, which at times can be helpful. This is a better built tool than the old 3 in 1 taps, and you can get replacement taps on line should you snap one. I have been using 3 in 1 taps for over thirty years and this is the best one I have come across.
