This set of nut drivers by Klein is designed for the professional electrician. As a licensed electrician myself, I have worked in various situations with open electrical boxes and live parts, and having a set of these tools makes the situation much safer. The tool and shaft have insulation rated for 1000 volts (as long as you care for them and keep them clean), which can make quick work of a job where you might otherwise need to shut off power to large parts of a building or important pieces of machinery. Downtime in these situations cans cost large amounts of money, so the cost of a good set of tools offering enough protection to avoid a shutdown is really a bargain. I found the handles to offer good grip, and each was clearly identified with the numerical size as well as being color-coded. The long hollow shaft allows for attaching nuts on to threaded rods or bolts that extend up to 6 inches or so past the end of the nut. The shaft insulation is double layer for extra protection of the tool as well as the user. A carrying case is included to help protect the tools and keep them clean and organized. Damage or dirt could effect the insulative quality, and as with all tools, taking care of them is important for longevity.Klein tools have long been highly respected by tradespeople since they are well designed, well built, and have a great warranty. I expect that this set of nut drivers will not disappoint.

High quality and well-made tools as expected from Klein tools. The insulation allows them to be used safely in electrical panels especially in commercial panels where bolted breakers are required. The range of the nut drivers is from one-quarter inch up to three-quarters inch which will encompass all of the common sizes used in the United States today with exception of metric bolts and nuts. I highly recommend these tools for anyone that does electrical or handyman work.

I found the nut drivers especially useful for two things. When in a tight space and in need of tightening a nut on a long bolt, the nut driver can accommodate the length of a 6 inch bolt in the way a deep-well socket can but better. Deep well sockets can usually accommodate the length of a 4 inch bolt. Additionally, these nut drivers are insulated to protect the user from voltages up to 1000v. I used it to modify a live breaker box that is used as a distribution panel. The handle grip is effective in that it doesn’t slip and comfortable in its length, circumference and grip.

I’m reviewing Klein Tools 9 Piece insulated nut driver set with carrying case. This is a beautiful set keep in mind they are each 10 to 11 inches long and go from 1/4″ up to 5/8″ in hex. They are Hollow so you can screw a nut on to a stud 6 in long. They are professional grade rated for a thousand volts I’m not planning to test that. I used them putting a inversion table together this morning
