Great replacement blade for utility knife. The 3 pack design is sleek and easy to replace blade. The blades are very sharp so be careful when replacing the blade. The blades look well made and sturdy. For those that are replacing the blade for the first time, make sure to tape the remaining blades together and perhaps putting some tape on the extra blades when you place them in a bag or back in the packaging.

Retention by a single captive screw enables quick on-the-job blade replacement, a useful time-saving feature—unusual on a folding knife. The alloy is 440A stainless steel, not super hard but corrosion-resistant and easy to resharpen if desired. The hawkbill blade shape has an inward-curved edge that cuts on the pull stroke. Offered for stripping cable insulation, it’s also useful for cutting carpeting, linoleum, roofing shingles, sod, and garden pruning. Made in China.

These blades have speeded up the process of securing my garden and greenhouse for the winter. I can get through an entire day with out having to stop and sharpen my blade. I simply swap a sharp blade for a dull one and keep going. At the end of the day I sharpen them all and am set for the next day. I don’t think I will ever go back to a fixed blade hawkbill knife again.

I used this hawkbill blade to cut through linoleum and carpet that was being discarded Cat No. 44219. I also used the straight coping blade Cat No. 44138 with equal results. This heavy duty cutting can be very damaging to regular knife blades. I used it with Klein’s new folding Cable Skinning Utility Knife with a replaceable sheep foot blade. After a long session of cutting, just replace the blade and get back to work. Easily replace used blades with Klein’s Replacement Blades exclusively designed for the Cable Skinning Utility Knife Cat. No. 44218.My only drawback was that once opened there is no way to ‘protect’ the exposed unused blades. Three pack of blades fit my Klein #44218 Folding Cable Skinning Knife. They are same as the ones that come with the knife and are easy to replace with the single locking screw. Nice corrosion resistant steel with a very sharp edge that can be sharpened if needed. Since they don’t come in a storage case, I keep all my spare blades in a small leather zipper pouch. My only criticism is that they are made in China.

Same quality blades that come with the complete knife, easy to replace with a simple screw driver. I like that you get 3 blades in the package, then when I am down to one I know its time to reorder. However, the packaging could be much better, if you are going to provide extra blades, a place to keep them would be helpful. Once you open the package the blades have no protection, a resealable clam shell would have been nice to keep in my tool bag to keep the blades from scattering in the bottom of my bag. I ended up taping the blades together to keep them organized in my bag.

They have a “sheep foot” shape designed for skinning cable or for cutting plant material, burlap, or twine in the garden. They are the same blade that comes with the Klein utility knife and are easy to install. They are really sharp and durable.
