This is one fantastic brass punch set! I don’t often have a use for a brass punch but when i do, nothing else works nearly as well. These punches are very nicely designed with regard to size and are seriously heavy duty. The grips are great and work very well. I have owned other brass punches but they were not nearly as nice. This five piece set comes with every size you will likely need. The sizes are 10, 12,16, 20, & 25mm.

Very high-quality brass punch set. These are not pointed at one end. They are blunt as they are used to knock out bolts. It is a metric set and the sizes are 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, and 25 mm. Brass punch sets are nice as they are designed to deform before they damage the steel that you are punching them with. The brass composition is important so that they are not too hard and not too soft. These appear to be just right. I used them on a stubborn bolt on my car with no issues. The bolt survived and the punch had only minor denting. The nice thing about this usage was that getting extra bolts for my BMW from BMW costs a good portion of my retirement fund. By using this set I saved the bolt and saved money and a very long wait for BMW to order the part. Win, win all the way around.

This Klein 5-Piece Brass Punch Set is very nice. They look to be well machined. The knurled handles are crisp and very well defined making them easy to grip. I have a number of brass punches up to 5/6” and don’t often need brass (non-marring) punches this large. But, these sure will be better than trying to use plastic, wood, lead, or some other non-marring material between a steel punch and the part needing to be moved. Upon opening the box, I found all the punches rolling around loose. The (apparently cheap) plastic case sleeves had all broken, so they will no longer do a good job of keeping the punches individually organized. The back of the case is rigid enough to help keep them somewhat in place. Not a terribly big deal to me as they will be kept in the punch drawer of my tool chest. However, a cloth or canvas case would be better. They are described as 3/8 in, ½ in., 5/8 in., ¾ in., and 1 in. However, the set I received is actually metric in 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, and 25mm. Close, but not inches. This is not a major problem for me as most of my use will not be dimensionally critical. Also, interestingly, these are not Klein tools. They are James Watt Tools, made in Australia. I have no issues with that, as the Australians make some exceptionally good products. I’d just prefer MADE IN USA. Other than the cheap case and the incorrect dimensions, I can recommend these punches for most uses where larger, softer punches are needed.

This 5 piece set of brass punch’s are great. I do a good bit of lawnmower work for my neighbors in my small shop and these punches are invaluable. When installing or removing bearing seats and you don’t want to damage the bearing, this is the product to use. There is a size for just about any job. You can expect these to last a long time as with all Klein tools.

An exceptional quality brass punch kit. Working on my own vehicles since I was a young teenager, I learned fast about driving bearing races with a steel punch; They will easily mar the steel race and destroy it, resulting in another costly trip to the parts store. I also have to drive pins where the atmosphere may be tainted with flammable fumes that can be ignited with a single spark. Enter the brass punches… Klein Tools are at the top for high quality craftsmanship. When used, these brass punches are soft enough to not mar automotive parts, but not so soft as to easily malform from use like cheaply made brass punches. They also will not cause sparks or shatter or chip like steel punches. Better to nick or bend brass than to damage a part.Just remember that even these high quality brass punches will flare at the punch’s end with use, but can easily be dressed back in shape. They will also naturally tarnish with time, but can be easily cleaned. Properly stored and maintained, these brass punches should last about forever.Made in Australia.

This is a good quality punch set to do a lot of jobs around the shop/garage. I often use brass punches when i can’t afford to ding or mushroom a bolt, big pin, or axle shaft. I find that the 1 in x 7-3/4 in punch is the one I need most often. The set is Austrailian made for Klein Tools. The punches are round with a knurled shank for positive grip. There is a vinyl pouch to store the 5-piece set: 3/8 in ; 1/2 in ; 5/8 in ; 3/4 in ; 1 in. ranging from 6 in to 7-3/4 in in length. There’ nothing fancy about the simple lathe work to make these punches, somewhat like a high school shop project. This is a functional tool set. However, I can’t recommend a product that is triple priced compared to other brands.

Quality brass punch set. Nice size selection. They are nicely machined and knurled. Claim to be the proper brass alloy for the job. Work well without much deformation unless really wailed on. If you are a mechanic a brass punch set is invaluable and a quality set will hold up and work much better than an economy one. This set is heavy too as it should be. I was surprised to see it was made in Australia. Way to go mates!

Stop using screwdrivers, bolts and whatever, stop doing more damage than repair. Get the right tools. Punches are no different. These set has the size you need. They’re solid and should last a lifetime. They’re knurled, so they’re easy to grip and hold onto while using. If you’ve used a set without knurling, you understand. If you do much of anything, you’ll need a dependable punch set. This is a great addition to any tool collection.

I have avoided buying a brass punch set for years. I have several sets of steel punches and use them regularly. The problem is that on delicate parts like bearing races one slip of the punch and you have ruined the part. This is a very nice set. The set lacks small punches since the brass material would not hold up in small sizes. These are very nicely machined and will give me a lot of confidence in removing parts that could be damaged with steel punches. I did find when I opened the package that the punches had pretty much destroyed their plastic carrying case and were rolling a round in the box. The plastic pouch is really brittle which is a shame for such nice tools. The other thing is that although they are sold as Klein the pouch says “James Watt Tools”. Since these are made in Australia maybe that is a Klein division there?

The Klein Tools, 5-Piece Brass Punch Set, made by Mumme Tools in Australia is a Klein Tools brand as also is the James Watt Tools a brand of Mumme and Klein Tools. This 5-piece set is a complete deluxe set of brass drifts with virtually all drift sizes that may ever be needed for any job where a non-sparking material or a soft driver is need to protect metals of greater hardness. The deeply knurled and chamfered end of each drift serves both as a handle and to identify the end of the drift to be struck by a hammer. The light weight plastic pouch the drifts are supplied in likely won’t last long on the job. This brass drift set works great for performing suspension work on cars and trucks, and for driving many kinds of steel pins where deformation of the pin might cause it to become stuck in the bore. Shown are some new wheel bearings I removed using the new Klein drifts (5/8” and 1”) to be reinstalled in the wheels of my wife’s garden wagon. These new drifts really made the job easy.
