Overall a very nice adjustable wrench. The size and weight are good, has a very sturdy, strong, durable feel to it. Nice clean look ( for now) and easy to use. The extra capacity allows it to be used in more general applications so no need to keep around more tools. The adjuster works nice and smooth. Has markings on both sides of the head (metric ans standard) for a quick size reference.

This adjustable wrench is very nice. It is 8.25” in length and weighs 9 7/8 oz. It has a good feel in the hand. The spiral knurls to make the adjustment move smoothly and precisely. A really super feature of the wrench is the measurements on each side: one side is in inches; the reverse side is in millimeters, so you can see exactly how open the jaws are. The inside of the jaws are smoothly finished and grip well. It opens to a maximum of 1 3/16” or 30mm.

The Klien 1-1/8 in. extra capacity adjustable wrench is made the way an adjustable wrench should be. Not only is it heavy duty. The adjustment mechanism is easy to use and it is very tight thus not allowing the jaws to slide around like some of the cheaper adjustable wrenches. Another nice feature is it has a metric and SAE scale along the sliding jaw, which is a time saver.

This wrench is 8″ long and has (inch) measurements on one side and (mm) measurement on the other. The measurement ticks go up to 1 3/16″ . Overall a nice quality wrench that seems like it should outlast me.Product is Forged and made in Spain.I’m a little skeptical about the warranty. First, the warranty info on the product package says “See Retailer or go to kleintools.com” which seems a bit diversive. So I went to the website and the warranty is not very clear other than that the tools will be delivered to the customer free of defects and that the warranty does not cover “normal wear and tear”. However, you are urged to fill out a form and contact Kleintools with any claims, so who knows, maybe they back up the product, maybe they give you the runaround. Luckily I haven’t had any reason to find out.

Over the years I’ve owned Klein Tools. So when I needed a new adjustable wrench my choice was the Klein Tools 10 in. adjustable wrench. What I liked about the hand tool was the feel of comfortable contoured handle. The heat treated forged steel and the high polished chrome finish. Which makes for easy clean up of the wrench. The wrenches jaws and knurled screw will offer a good tight fit on any nut or bolt your working on. Plus a handy scale on both sides of the wrench in SAE or metric. This is a quality affordable hand tool in any toolbox will last a lifetime of repairs. And should be in yours.

1-1/8 in. Extra Capacity Adjustable Wrench Gadgetman DIY scale of dead easy, it’s a hand tool. This one is well made the worm gear turns easily, the jaws go from fully closed to wide open without any hiccups or stiff spots. This 6 inch adjustable wrench has a brilliant little add on in that it is bit a metric as well as SAE adjustable wrench it has a convenient scale printed on the stationary jaw SAE on one side and metric on the other. If nothing else you can see that If you have a 12 mm nut but not a 12 mm socket you can use a ½ inch socket in a pinch. Well made tool box staple.

This Klein Tools 15/16 inch extra capacity adjustable wrench is a well made tool that should last you a long time. It is six inches in length and has adjustable jaw that opens to 15/16 inch or 24mm. High quality adjustable wrench.The jaws on this Klein wrench are noticeably tighter (less slop) than most other adjustable wrenches. The adjustment screw contacts four “threads” instead of the more common three thread engagement. The area where your hand grips the wrench is wide and smooth, so the tool is comfortable to use. While rubber handles sometimes have their place, this one is plain steel, which makes it much easier to clean after the dirty jobs. The forging is crisp and nicely done. The jaw opens about 1-1/8″, which is really wide for a wrench that is 8″ in length. I do not usually pay attention to the size markings on the jaws of adjustable wrenches, but the markings on this Klein wrench are very clear and easy to read (English on one side, metric on the other). The overall shape of this wrench is what I call “Classic” – by that, I mean the hanging hole is round, not square, and the jaws are meaty and not pointed. This is a high quality tool which will give a lifetime of satisfaction to both professionals and tool-lovers alike. Highly recommended.

This is a big, heavy duty wrench. I love the calibrations on the jaws- makes setting the size of the jaws very simple. Long 12-inch handle gives you excellent leverage. Appears to be very well machined- opens and closes quite easily. The jaws will handle a nut or valve up to 1-1/2 inches in diameter. It is big- probably not the best tool for smaller jobs where clearance may be an issue because of the width of the jaws.

Klein has made a great adjustable wrench. You know its a winner when you first pick it up. The screw adjust smoothly and flush with the nut. When you tighten the nut you will notice that there is no flex in the wrench head, the jaws stay put and hold tight to the nut, no gaps forming around the nut. The weight is really good and it has great balance in you hand. You will notice that I measure a lot of tools to determine if the scale is accurate or even close and this one was spot on. Do like I am going to and get the full set of sizes.

The Klein Tools Adjustable Wrench is well made just as I would expect from such a reputable company.The 10 inch adjustable wrench is what I consider to be the best all-around size. It will handle most jobs. It gives me the impression of being well made. It has good weight indicating it’s tough and the operation is smooth. The chrome finish is nicely done and should protect the tool from rust when used in wet environments.Folks like me that are trying to avoid buying Chinese products will be happy to know it is made in Spain.Now for the negatives. It is advertised as being “extra capacity” and “specialized for bigger jobs in confined spaces”. I was disappointed to realize, when compared to my other 10 inch adjustable wrenches, the jaws did not open any wider. I’m not sure what makes it “extra capacity”. Also, for the price and reputation of Klein Tools, I was surprised to see the jaw measurements painted on rather than etched or stamped.Overall, it’s a nice tool and with proper use and care should last several lifetimes.

Nice wrench. A bit heavier and bulkier than may be necessary, but it’s a quality piece. The tolerances are reasonably tight, though with little effort a company like Klein should be able to remove most of the play from the lower jaw. But the adjustment screw is the smoothest I’ve felt. Perfect balance, well made and nice feel to the handle. The jaws stay at set opening, no lazy travel.

KLEIN TOOLS 1-5/16 IN. EXTRA CAPACITY ADJUSTABLE WRENCH This is an excellent addition to your tool bag. It is very study and well made of anodized steel. It’s heavier built than your run of the mill adjusting wrenches. It has great feel in your hand and as you can see in photos has easy (I could read it without my glasses) to read calibration of SAE on one side and metric on other on jaws. It has about 3/8 inch addition span in jaws for a little e extra duty.

I really appreciated the calibrations on the adjustable end of this wrench, they give me confidence in setting the right size for the bolt I am working with. At first I thought the overall size of the wrench was too small to get the torch necessary to tighten things down, but after using it I have come to appreciate the ability to access small spaces, I am glad I added this wrench to my tool box. I am planning on also adding the next larger size or two.

This is a compact adjustable wrench that has an extra wide opening for a wrench its size, making it very handy. The six-inch length fits into tight spaces and it provides a jaw capacity of 15/16th of an inch. Opening has a calibrated scale to help preset the wrench to fit. This wrench feels well made, opens and closes smoothly with little effort, has good gripping power, and is from a very good manufacturer. A great general purpose wrench to have in your toolbox.

This 6 in. adjustable wrench is pretty good. Overall quality appears to be good. The Extra Capacity 15/16 in. opening is the best feature, and the marked size (in., mm) graduations are nice. Like the description says, the machining is well done and makes operation smooth. I’ve owned and used extra capacity (Wide Opening) adjustable wenches (made by Diamond Tool) since 1970 when I started out as a refrigeration fitter. Unfortunately Diamond Tool was bought out a couple of times, and finally just disappeared. Those tools are no longer made and are very difficult to find. I’ve hoped for years that someone would come out with adjustable wrenches comparable to those, but to no avail. I checked this Klein wrench out against my Diamond Tool Wide Opening (Refrigeration) 6 in. wrench. While the Klein is a good wrench and will work well, I still prefer my old ones. This Klein wrench is longer, wider, and thicker than my Diamond Tool 6 in. wrench. It’s also wider overall when opened. It’s available with transparent red dipped handle, but that would add to the thickness. Other brands I’ve looked at are much thicker than this Klein, and nowhere near the quality. It used to be that Klein was synonymous with “Made in USA”, but while it doesn’t necessarily reflect badly on quality, those days are, apparently, behind us. This wrench is made in Spain. As far as wide-opening adjustable wrenches go, this is probably the best choice available today. If you need Extra Capacity, get one of these.

I recently acquired a Klein 8” Adjustable Wrench. It is without a doubt the best wrench I have ever owned. The thoughtfulness that has gone into the design, balance and finish is amazing. Klein has done something with this 8” wrench that I have never seen before. The jaw capacity is 1⅛”, allowing for a more precise fit on nuts/bolts that are 1” in size and perhaps a bit worn or the need to work in a cramped space. Another unique aspect of this wrench is the measurement scale in both US standard and metric along the fixed jaw. It is finely etched and will definitely stand the test of time. This feature allows you to get the normal size adjusted quickly.

This line of adjustable wrenches are excellent. I purchased a few different brands looking for quality of what the Crescent brand “use” to be like. These are really nice wrenches, they are thick enough to feel like you are holding a solid wrench. I purchased the 8″, 10″, and 12″ versions. All great. The adjusting mechanism is smooth and does not bind up. All three of the sizes purchased are made in Spain. Highly recommended.

Another high quality adjustable wrench from Klein. These have nice tight sliding jaws, a four thread thumbscrew (instead of the more common three thread thumbscrew), nicely finished with good clean forging. The 6″ length is a convenient size for smaller fasteners, and it is nice that the jaw opens wider than most other adjustable wrenches of this size. The shape of the jaws is what I consider “traditional” – in other words, they have a rounded shape (not pointy, like some others), and have good thickness. I also like the feeling of the metal in my hands – there is just a bit of texture, so it doesn’t slip out of your hands like the polished tools do (especially when they get some oil or grease on them).This is a really good tool. Don’t loan it out, don’t hit it with a hammer, keep it out of the rain, and this wrench will still put a smile on your face 30 years from now.
