3-Piece Flexible Drill Bit Kit is ideal for in-wall drilling and contains everything you need to pull up to 1/2 in. O.D. wire through your walls. Flexible drill bit (Cat. No. 53718) makes 9/16 in. holes in wood. Pulling grip (Cat. No. KPS050) attaches to the flexible drill bit after the hole has been made and pulls 3/8 in. to 1/2 in. wire and cable.

I will try to keep this short: The product works. It does what it is advertised to do. My only issue with it is that if you are not careful and don’t plan ahead, you can drill a hole that will not allow you to pull a cable through with the mesh tool because of the way the wood bit drills its hole….it will be too tight to pull back through without reversing the bit, which, you can guess, destroys the mesh keeper. bottom line – takes a little bit to get used to working it, but just be careful and plan ahead, and it is still a good tool to have in a tight space at an awkward angle.

I used this bit to drill holes to run some network wire around the house. It does its job. My only gripe is that the paint on the part that clamps into the drill scratched off within the first use. The wire pull accessory proved to be useless to me as well. It seems that is only good for thicker coax cables.

I used this to drill a hole in the ceiling to run romex. The bit grabs on to the wood very quickly, but it kept locking up on the wood. I had to keep pressing forward and reverse on the drill to get it done. About half way through the wood, it started drilling normally. I’m hoping I won’t need to use this too often but I did finish my project!

Couldn’t use guide tool as not enough bit was accessible. Another opportunity to use it in future is anticipated. Bit did well even in the corner of the wall plate up into attic. Served intended purpose except for inability to direct point.
