Great product! Helped get holes drilled into tight spaces and saved doing a lot of drywall work.

Great tool for re-wire projects. The bit is more flexible than thought. You can really get it in tight places. We were able to cross three joists at a time. Be sure to mark out your route to avoid other utilities as it moves quick.

The only thing preventing me from giving this item a 5 star review is the wire basket attachment was impossible to set up.

i bought this set to install recessed LED down lights in my kitchen and living room. Since it was a renovation on my main floor, i did not have access to the ceiling from above. I was hesitant to try to do the installation but saw some videos using this tool and decided to give it a try. While it wasn’t easy, with a little bit of planning, a second set of hands, and a powerful drill, i was able to install 11 lights from 2 receptacles. I don’t understand the reviews calling into question the durability of the bit, mine has almost no wear after a full day of work. The only place i notice it wearing was along the shaft of the bit (cosmetic scratches), and due to some slipping which occurred inside the chuck. I’m really glad that i bought the set because i used all 3 pieces extensively. I will say that pulling the bit through some holes was difficult because it is quite stiff, as such i had to use a coat hanger quite a bit as well. The bit position-er came in handy as well. When i needed to keep the bit angle low it was really useful. as was the cable holder, which really worked well. if you have the time and technique this kit will help you run cable. I cant give this anything by 5 stars, as the project would have been impossible to achieve without it. a bit pricey for what it is, but its really the only thing out there like this that i could find.

I wanted to add an outlet in my bathroom wall and run the wire down through the bottom plate inside the wall. This tool worked perfectly, with the handle allowing me to flex the bit inside the wall so that I could position the hole in the center of the plate.

works great, would of had to bust holes in drywall to do it in the past, the only trouble is that hitting nails dulls it, but other than that it has been a real time saver

It works well for vertical drilling. When I tried to drill horizontally through studs, it failed miserably. The guide tool could be better designed.

It wasn’t as flexible as I needed. It was very hard to get it to hit the bottom board from a standard out let night of 12-13″. The basket cage worked well at holding the wire I was pulling but it couldn’t be attached to the bit so I couldn’t do the pull in 1 go. I used my flex rod glow sticks to pull the wire. Overall I got the job done , it just was as easy as I hoped it would be.

This is a must have tool if you are installing cables. This made a remodeling job much easier and faster. Was able to cut in outlets and run the bit inside the wall up to the top/bottom header boards and drill right through them fairly easily.

The drill bit was flexible, yet effective when drilling through the 2×4 floor plates. Combined with the included angle guide, running cables through existing finished walls was quick and easy.

I used the flexible drill bit kit to drill holes in ceiling joists to run cable thru for recessed lights. The problem is it drilled them at an upward slant due to the existing drywall and rigidity of the bit shank, even when using the handled lever. So I changed to regular paddle drill bits with extension rods in order to make them straight thru. The drill bit does cut nice holes, but I believe this is only useful with bare walls/ceilings (ie without drywall).

We wanted to intall an additional outlet, about 3′ from the first. This kit allowed us to run wire within the wall — drilling through two studs — without needing to make any additional holes in the drywall (other than the hole for the new outlet).

I purchased this tool for a home project of adding outlets to a room. It worked flawlessly and made the job so much quicker and easier. I’d highly recommend for the novice or the professional electrician.
