Klein Tools’ durable LED headlamp gives you bright, all-day light on either the bright spot setting or the lower, wide-casting flood light setting. Removing this hard hat lamp for recharging is easy; just slide the lamp out of the bracket on the silicone strap — no need to remove the strap from your hard hat. You’ll know when it’s time to recharge the lamp, because the LED lights on the battery gauge clearly indicate how much battery you have left. This headlamp also features new auto-sensing technology that turns off the unit after three minutes in bright light saving battery, and a little embarrassment.
- Headlamp automatically turns off after 3 minutes in bright light via auto-sensing technology, extending battery life (feature can be disabled by holding the power button for 10 seconds)
- Light can be easily removed from bracket for recharging
- Battery gauge indicates level of battery life with colored LED lights
- Slim profile with pivoting mount to allow up to a 64° lighting angle
- Smartly designed headlamp bracket also attaches directly to Klein hard hats (skus equipped with bracket system)
- Silicone strap stays securely on a hardhat
- Rechargeable via micro-USB port (cable included)
- Durable headlamp: drop-test rating of 10 ft., dust and water resistant
- Spotlight: 200 Lumens, 12 hour runtime
- Floodlight: 100 Lumens, 22 hour runtime

Like I have done so many times before with other tools I initially purchased an inexpensive headlamp only to be disappointed. So the second time around I wised up and got this Klein unit. The biggest advantage is significantly more light output. Secondly, being USB rechargeable is a real plus. Having the ability to easily remove the lamp from the strap and use it like a flashlight is another stroke of genius. The only negative I can think of is the headlamp is a little heavier than some of the others but none of the others can match the performance and convenience of this unit. Also, the silicon strap works well if you are not wearing a hard hat. Images are from trying to trace some electrical circuits at the breaker box.

Good headlight in that it does not require batteries. But the 12 & 22 hour runtime is a ways from the truth!!

Typical Klein quality!! Light, durable, functional, long battery life, quick charge, worth every penny and supports one of the few high quality made in USA companies out there.

This Klein Tools Rechargeable Auto-Off Headlamp is an excellent product. Its combination of Lithium Ion rechargeable battery and LED lights makes for a great combination of high-power light, long battery life and light weight. It puts out 200 lumens on high and 100 lumens on low settings. Battery life is 12 hours and 22 hours respectively. It only weighs 4.9 ounces including the mounting bracket and head band. The head band is made of a durable and slip-resistant silicone so it will stay put on your hard hat or head. The bracket allows the light to tilt down so that it can be focused where you need it. A very smart feature on this light is a sensor that will switch the light off if it senses bright surrounding light for 3 minutes. This will prevent the battery from going dead too quickly and after all how would you know the light on your hard hat was still on if it was on your head! If desired the auto-off feature may be disabled by the user. This headlamp is charged/recharges via a USB to Micro USB cord that is included with the unit. But I found that any USB/Micro USB cord (such as those used for most smart phones) works just as well. Power for charging comes from an adapter, computer, power bank or other USB outlet and isn’t supplied with the light. The light is also water resistant so it won’t short out if you and it get wet. Overall this headlamp is excellent for use in any situation where light is needed for working in dark or poorly lit areas. It leaves both hands free for use on the project.

absolutely the BEST of headlamps that I’ve used. I’ve used a number of them and this is by far the finest of engineering, craftsmanship, and durability that I’ve used. The headband is much better that the stretchy fabric kind. The ability to just the side lights on and angle it. 10 star !!!

Klein tools are one of the few things in life which has never left me disappointed in any way with any of the products. This rechargeable auto-off headlamp is another item added to the growing list. I have spent a lot of money over the years wanting a good headlamp which will remain dependable and they all failed my expectations. This Klein is totally awesome. The auto-shutoff will turn the light off if sufficient light is detected for 3 minutes and also has the option to disengage the feature. It has a spot light for direct light and a wide spread option for wider use. Having only to plug the enclosed USB cable into the port on my desk lamp is quite handy. The lamp has different light color combinations which display while charging which let you know the charge level. This option can be checked while in use by holding down the power button. Option to adjust the tilt/angle of light direction is nice. Silicone band totally adjustable and comfortable completes all the options I could ask for. Well done as always Klein.

The best lamp I had. I had the Milwaukee one but someone took it while working at Sea World. Bought these and their way better, they last longer, charge fast just way better than the Milwaukee ones. The Milwaukee ones suck. They die out fast like in 3/4 hours the Klein tools last all day.

Klein Tools Rechargeable Auto-off headlamp#56034 made in ChinaThis features an auto-sensor that turns your headlamp off in bright light to save the battery. And it’s re-chargeable, via a micro-USB port. The strap is made of silicone – this will hold on to your hard-hat better.I don’t wear a hard-hat, so this feature was less important than that it holds onto my hat better than my previous headlamp.See photo comparisons – broader strap, more secure.Brighter light in position one and position two.Lacks a red-light option (useful when camping and going in and out of the tent or camper)Rechargeable – rather than powered by common AA battery.Battery gauge – not available on my old one. Both are water resistant.Klein tools are generally more durable, and heavy – that’s true in this side-by-side comparison as well. Both have angle adjustments.I won’t be throwing away my old headlamp, but I will be using the Klein in work environments that require brighter light, and using the old one where I need a red-light.Recommended

Lights up an attic very well, when one wrong step means patching drywall, its important to have a light that stays charged, and so far it’s been great

A well-built and well-designed light meant to strap to a hard hat however is comfortable enough to fit on your bare head. I like the ability to recharge the battery instead of fussing with batteries. A simple USB connection is required to charge via your computer or a wall plug although only a cable is provided with the light – no wall plug. The light has two intensities by pressing the large on-button once or twice and a third time to shut the light off. The band is made of some polyurethane material that remains flexible even in cold weather. Nice product.

I ordered two head lights to go with a from home depot to go with a kline hard hat i bought from a-z, as alternative to milwaukees rechargable light, they work great. I am electrician usually work 8-10work day. This light provides plenty of light to work above ceiling and in dark rooms and last all day using a 70-80% of the day, and when I forget charge it last till around 11 before it battery dies. I has two settings and both are bright, i had people ask me turn it off when there talking to me or I forget to turn it off and blind them. The only issues I had with thses lights is durability. The notches that adjust angle of the head lamp to the base have stripped out and head no longer stay put flop up and down with head movement its a little irritating, i taped the head light to base to keep it from moving. My second head lamp base broke when my hard hat fell from 12ft, the little nipple on the base broke and no longer holds light so I’m down to one headlamp Pros-provides ample light for task – usb rechargable does not have leave the truck at night just use your car charger – light weight compared to other rechargeable head lamps-battery life last 8hrs on high setting as long as you charge over night, my cowork has milwaukee head lamp and he can’t run his on high setting longer then 2.5 hrs Cons-No quick charge, if you forget to charge it will be 3-4 hrs before fully charged- can’t swap out batterys for regular batterys -durability which the notches would hold up better for angle adjustment- needs regular head strap and base for the times your not using it at a jobsite, the rubber band it comes with does good job of holding head lamp to hard hat, but try to scalp you try to put it on your head with out hard hat

Worked great to begin with. Still works great but the battery now only lasts about 10-15 minutes which has recently left me in a couple of dark predicaments. Need to figure out warranty on these.

I got this light to go with my Klein hard hat. It is made to clip right on the front of the hat. I do not use the headband that comes with it but will hang on to it just in case. I love the light; it is bright and has a “spot” and “flood” setting. The charge lasts a long time and it swivels up and down to adjust to my working view. It is a good, well-made light.
