I really love this headlamp. It is good for a number of uses! Of course, it’s awesome to have for camping; walking on trails at night or for use in the tent. It’s also good for home jobs that you need more light and don’t have enough hands. It is very well designed, is comfortable and good looking too! I really like this headlamp a lot and would recommend it.

The strap on this light is a stretchy plastic that stays in place very well without feeling like your head is in a vise. It throws out some pretty useful light – it has a spotlight setting and a wide angle setting. It also can also be aimed downward, which could be useful at times. One push on the switch gets the spotlight, second push is wide angle, third push is “off’. One thing I noticed about the switch – you can get a bare fingertip on it pretty easily, not so much if you are wearing work gloves. It uses 3 AAA batteries and those are included, pretty simple and quick process to change them out when needed. It’s hard to beat for the price.

Works well, as described. Stays put most all day for me. As others noted, working the switch is a bit akward with work gloves on.

Highly pleased with Klein tools headlamp not as much lumems as I hoped for but this is the only type of headlamp that’s made of rubber/silicone that I know of. Every other headlamp I owned the strap became very sweaty and uncomfortable. I do alot of work up in Attics where it tends to be very hot so I wanted a good material for the strap to be made out of to reduce acne on my forehead. This one helped alot!

This review if for the Klein Tools Model # 56220 Headlamp. Klein Tools is a manufacturer of quality tools and tool accessories such as this headlamp and this headlamp exhibits Klein quality. This headlamp has several features that helping make it a good buy. It has two modes – spotlight and headlight. In spotlight mode, the LED bulbs put out 150 lumens and in headlight mode they put out 50 lumens. In either mode, light is sufficient for the task associated with either mode. Unlike multi-strap headlamps, which at times can be somewhat difficult to get on, this Klein headlamp sports a single, elastic band to which the lamp is attached. The strap has a single adjustment clamp making for a quick and easy adjustment. The single strap made getting the headlamp easy to get on and to get off. The strap is soft so no discomfort occurred while wearing it. At least for the 30 minutes I wore it. Perhaps, longer use would change my observation but I think the headlamp would still be comfortable to wear. The strap provided a secure fit without excessive slipping of the lamp. The non-slip feature of the strap makes it possible to mount the lamp on a hard hat. I tried it and had no problem with the hard hat. The lamp can be tilted to 45 degrees and it can be done with one hand while wearing the light. It took little pressure to adjust the angle. Three AAA batteries are set directly into the lamp enclosure so there is no need for a separate battery pack wired to the lamp. A nice feature is that the batteries are included in the packaging removing the need to drive back to Home Depot because one forgot to buy the batteries. The manufacturer states that the batteries will last for 10 hours of operating time but I am not sure if this is in spotlight mode or headlight mode. I would imagine it is measured in spotlight mode since this mode outputs 50 lumens. The spotlight function was perfect for close up work and the headlight mode casted a wide beam so one does not have to constantly turn from side to side for peripheral vision. The lamp is turned on and off while wearing it with an easy to reach switch. The manufacturer claims that the lamp has a 6 foot drop protection. I did not test this claim but the lamp’s quality leads me think that the claim is accurate. I do not know about it is ability to stand up to heavy rain.

I’ve been in the construction for 30+ years a grew tired of using cable ties holding down traditional headlamp straps. No need with this item. The strap grabs my hard hat like Velcro without the need of additional cable ties. The only suggestion is the make the black line in the strap reflective.Excellent product. Time will tell if it will hold up to abuse but seems rugged. Thanks Klein…

Believe it or not, I wasn’t sure if i would ever use this when I first ordered it. We live in a rural area and during our desert monsoon season the power has a tendency to go off frequently. Thinking this may come in handy, I ordered it and now wish I had done it sooner, as I now keep it handy on my dresser for a variety of reasons. First of which is the obvious ‘hands-free’ application it provides. When raising livestock, having a ‘hands-free’ light is very useful. Like I said, I keep on my dresser.

This headlamp is extremely bright and very functional. Ideal for working (hands free) in tight areas, during a power outage, camping, etc. It comes with three AAA batteries already installed. The headlamp has bright and dim modes (both are very useable). It has a comfortable, adjustable headband and the light can be easily rotated and self-clicks into place for different viewing angles. It is well made, sturdy yet comfortable to wear, well balanced. I would highly recommend this headlamp for anyone looking in this category.

Before I started using headlamp flashlights, I would fumble around all kinds of crazy ways. Putting a penlight in your mouth is a really poor idea. And perhaps you may even remember the old Snakelight. A fine idea, but still you could never get the light where you need it.A headlamp gets the light EXACTLY where you need it, right where you are looking! Meanwhile, your hands are free. And the light follows you around with no effort at all. Perfect. A time honored idea from the mining days with modern LED technology. This lamp replaces my old one (different brand) that finally was giving me fits because the head pad was deteriorating and the strap was not flexible anymore. The pad would leave an awful black stain on my forehead. Not good! So, that’s my number 1 LIKE about this lamp. The silicone strap is clean, grippy, flexible (probably in pretty cold weather) and apparently durable. It also offers a pretty good amount of cushion feel to my forehead. The instructions talk about wearing it on a hard hat. That’s fine. But I usually just wear it bare on my head. No problems, and even thought it weighs a bit, I forget it is there.Other likes:- AAA batteries included, already installed, from a major brand name. Yeah! Easily obtainable and cheap. I don’t like the trend to CR2032 batteries in other devices. Save the AAAs!- Click angle adjust. Easily adjusts to different angles.- Two brightness settings- Very bright!I don’t have any real gripes. There are a few minor things. One would be the weight, but as I mentioned that is the trade off to use the easily obtainable and long lasting AAAs. The other tiny issue is the adjustment of the strap. This is usually a 1 time or occasional process, so it isn’t important, but basically the strap is tricky to adjust. Once adjusted, it does hold.Recommended!

This a great little light headlamp. It produces a great deal light for such a small light . It has two different beams as well as tilting up or down. The head band is a very heavy duty rubber type product and is adjustable. It fells a little weird at first but when you get used to the way it fits it is not anything you are not going to be able to live with.

I got this head lamp for my bicycle rides.Hubby says he will use it for yard work after dark. The plastic band is thick and seems durable. The headlamp is where most of the weight is.That’s why I chose to put it on my helmet instead of my head.I imagine this little guy could give you a head ache after a while.Suggest using setting one when you are by yourselfBecause it’s super bright.Setting 2 if someone is around so as not to blind themBut get plenty of front light.

Just a little problem with off and on but otherwise good

Best headlamp I’ve used hands down. It has a plastic strap that seems to feel better and more secure against my head than your standard piece of elastic. The light is super bright and the fact that you can adjust the position of the lamp either up or down or left or right really makes it nice. It is also very light weight which is nice since you can keep it on your head all day with no issue.

Awesome headlamp. Sticks to my hard hat perfectly. Haven’t had any issue. Bright enough to see task at hand
