Got this light as an alternative to the usual headband type work light. I usually have a ball cap on when I’m involved in a project, so this seemed like the perfect product. Indeed, it functions just like I had hoped. The light clips snuggly to the visor of a standard cap and stays secure. The added weight is minimal – during my first use I wore it for over 4 hours without any discomfort. It provided very good illumination of my work site in a dark attic, allowing me to install an attic fan without the bother of setting up a corded worklight. At 125 lumens on the higher of its two settings it’s more than adequate for most work tasks, although for walking/jogging at night I would recommend a higher-intensity product. The light is powered by two AAA batteries (included) and I have experienced better battery life than the advertised 4 hours on high (125 lumens) or 8 hours on low (40 lumens). An added feature I particularly like is the ability to pivot the LEDs up to 60 degrees, allowing you to direct the light exactly where you need it. Overall, a very nice design – highly recommended!

Another product I like. Good solid construction, and no weird batteries.Has a solid steel clip to attach to a baseball hat’s brim; needs about 1.5″ to clip on to.Not designed for a hard hat; my hard hat does not have enough brim to secure it. Get he elastic strap type for them.5 flat LEDs that pivot ~60° down, you could clip it on up side down if you need more up facing light.Has 3 settings; full on, low on and off. With an easy to use single button. The beam is about 160° wide and about 80° vertical and easily illuminated a dark room +30 feet out.Included (and installed) a pair of AAA batteries. Package indicates ~ 4-8 hours of use, depending on light level. It is very bright, don’t stare up at your co-workers with it on, even on low.May be a little too bright for night fishing, but would be good for trail / wood walks…

This LED cap visor light seems plenty durable for use. I wouldn’t use it in the rain. My husband has a drill that has a light on it but it is not in a very good spot, under the bit. You still cause a shadow above with any back light and it doesn’t light up the area very well. I bought him this so he wouldn’t have that problem Right now he is putting in a floor and it was hard to see the pencil marks. With this on he could see clearly. No shadows.

High Klein quality worklight for your baseball cap. Good size, good grip, good functionality. I have several cap-lights. They are terrific for snow-blowing at night and working in dark corners of the car, truck, or tractor. This Klein Cap Visor Light is the best I have tried! Less annoying than a strap-light. More light and better angles than a cap with tiny lights built-in.At this price, this is a must-have head-light. And this lets me wear the cap of my choice. Company cap on the job, Sturgis cap when riding after dark, Red Sox cap for plumbing. Obviously a cap-visor light would tend to fall off. This one won’t. The metal clip has an astonishingly STRONG grip. Light has High, Low, and Off settings, cycled with a pushbutton on top. The High is plenty bright for working on things, and will throw light far in front of you. The Low is really enough light for most night-walking. The light angle adjusts from nearly level (long range) down almost to your nose for reading small print or tracing wires. It also works well as a hand-light; much better than most other headlights. It uses two common AAA batteries, same as many TV remotes. Two are included. At Low setting a pair will last a whole work shift, or several snow-blowings. I can buy more in bulk at Home Depot’s checkout aisle. The power switch is in a very obvious place, and easy to work in the hand, but oddly difficult to work on the cap. The rubber button is big and stiff, rugged as it should be, but the “hot spot” eludes my clumsy finger. Maybe it wants a larger internal switch, or a stiffening plate in the rubber button.

Klein quality and usability shines brightly with this latest offering. This visor lamp is lightweight, more comfortable to wear (unlike a headband light), and is convenient to keep on your ball cap even when not needed. The bright, pure white light beam pattern is wide enough to focus on what is in front of you as well as a bit to the side and doesn’t spill into your eyes. The adjustable angle feature and high/low setting gives even more flexibility as to how far ahead that I want to see. It is great to use when I need to see in any low light environment: when working on the car, camping, heading out early to my favorite fishing spot, or even for a late night dog walk. It could be the most valuable tool for me to have in an emergency… like when you lose power at home.

This is one of those items that you think you will never need, but once you use it you’re like, “How did I get along without this !!!!!!!” I picked this out since I saw some of the guys putting an addition on our house had them & they all said they like them. I agree, the Klein Tool brand is great: has two brightness levels, since it’s LED there is low power consumption. Hopefully, it will outlast me.

Seems to be well made and bright enough to give hands free lighting to make equipment repairs at work go a lot smoother.

Handy little flashlight. Tough on batteries but it’s very light

Light is very “BRIGHT” but it drains batteries extremely fast! The clip is strong stays in place on your hat & provides light where you need it, but just doesn’t last very long before it begins to dim. The first time I used it I thought something was wrong with it. Needs rechargeable batteries.

Yes I would recommend but this thing is heavy, I wear a bump cape which helps with the weight. But on a regular ball cape? That hat better be a tight fit.

I wouldn’t expect a cap mount light to be worthy of more than 3, maybe 4 stars, but this one is shockingly good. First off the clip is metal. There’s no worry about it not holding, even if you bump into something. This light holds onto the visor like it was mounted there with a screw, but it is still pretty easy to slide on and off. Then there is that little bit of adjustability that the pivot gives you. It is great for pointing the light right where I want it. I have never experienced that with a visor light. The 2 light level settings are plenty. And the overall light level on high is great. It casts plenty of light without being so harsh that it is hard to see. If you’re familiar with high lumen headlamps you understand what I mean. This isn’t for casting light a hundred feet in front of you, it is for closer work when you need both hands free. The last thing to note is the weight. It is really light weight. I don’t really notice it on my hat. It doesn’t pull it forward at all. If you need a good visor mount light, this is a great choice.
