Most “big bolt” torque wrenches obviously require good leverage associated with longer handled 1/2 inch drive wrenches. Klein offers this wrench in a 3/8 drive with two different models. the first is capable of torquing 15-75 foot pounds in accordance with most 3/8 drive torque wrenches. The second is actually capable of 30-150 foot pounds. Both are micro adjustable which makes them extremely accurate. (within ASE 4% accuracy requirement) and both are easy to use and easy to read. The only thing I would do to improve this product would be to make it longer to increase the leverage. If you do precision mechanical work and want easy to use accuracy; these torque wrenches will make an outstanding addition to your tool box. I highly recommend this product and think you will be completely satisfied.

this is my first torque wrench, i have used them on loan from the auto parts store, this is my first purchase. the wrench comes with a strong plastic storage case, nice. this torque wrench is calibrated in inch/pounds, in/lb. a lot of torque specs are in foot pounds, 12 in/lb = 1 ft/lb. because it sets to the in/lb it is much more precise then ft/bl wrenches. it is well made, nice quality and works well. i love it.

This Klein 3/8 inch torque wrench appears to be of super good quality. It comes with a very nice black hard plastic carrying case that will protect the wrench for years and years. The wrench comes with a calibration sheet with an accuracy of +-.25%. The wrench is calibrated from 50 in-lb to 250 in-lbs. The thing I like most about this wrench is that it is made in the USA. Since the wrench isn’t very big I feel the adjustment numbers are pretty hard to read. Have your reading glasses ready.

Hard to beat a quality tool. I probably don’t use this for what the original designers intended but it is perfect. I use it to build and maintain mountain bikes. Modern bikes have many small fasteners that need to be installed correctly to function and over or under tightening will cause problems or damage components. I am able to get as low or high a torque as I need in a compact package. Trusting my tool is important since I am trusting my physical well being to the installation of components. As a nice plus this is small enough that it fits easily in my travel tool bag so I don’t have to lug the large one or make sure I don’t forget to pack the box.

This Klein 3/8” Torque Wrench appears to be of very high quality. It comes in a good hard case, and includes a Certificate of Calibration, and the Manual includes formulas for using extensions and adapters. It also comes packed with a corrosion inhibitor packet. It measures in both English and Metric, though I’ll probably never use it for anything other than English. The graduations are clearly marked, but my old eyes need good light to see them. The English values shown on the tool range from 30 to 260 in. lbs. The included Calibration Certificate ranges from 50 to 250 in. lbs., so I assume that accuracy might not be as exact above or below those calibrated specs. This Klein Torque Wrench will prove very valuable for those tasks requiring 3/8” drive and accurate in. lb. torque.

With today’s automotive world using hi-tech fasteners made from brass, aluminum and even plastic, I couldn’t afford to just guess when tightening them. This high quality tool is a thing of beauty to see and use and is manufactured from stainless steel to commercial/industrial quality standards. Because this torque handle has a ratchet head, it eliminates the necessity of removing then repositioning the entire tool and socket for that second torque check of the bolt or nut. At just a little over 11 inches long, this tool is the perfect size for getting into many space-restricted areas on my cars. Mine came with a Certificate of Calibration (accuracy) showing a maximum deviation when tightening of only 1.4% or less across the entire 50 in-lb to 250 in-lb range; that translates to less than a .7 in-lb maximum error! This or any deviation from the desired torque setting can be compensated for with the fine adjustment dial on the locking torque scale near the hand grip. You may need to use this tool in a quiet area because the “click” you may hear or the “release” you may either see or feel when the desired torque is achieved can be subtle. This sound or observed indication is from the handles deflection when making contact with the pivoting ratchet head base.

This is a high end, professional torque wrench. If you are looking for precision and accuracy when tightening fasteners, look no further. The torque range setting are clearly marked on the handle and retaining dial. Setting the correct torque value is smooth compared to other torque wrenches. Be sure to include the calibration settings before you use the tool. The wrench “clicks” when the proper torque is reached. It comes with a case to prevent damage when transported and stored.

There are two of these torque wrenches for sale, pay close attention to which one you are buying for your application. This one does 2.5-12.5 ft.-lb. The other does 15+ ft.lb or torque. My bicycle needs the lower torque for 9 ft. -b = 12 Nm.In the case of a torque wrench, don’t buy a cheap brand, buy the quality one from Klein.I received this Klein Tools 3/8 in. Torque Wrench with Square-Drive Ratchet Head for free to write the review.

The Klein Tools 3/8 in. Torque Wrench with Square-Drive Ratchet Head is a precision and accurate tool that provides exact torque specs to the fasteners that need specific secured applications. The 38″ 30 to 250 Inch Pounds (2.5 to 20.8 foot pounds) torque wrench comes in handy for machines around my shop, and the firearms I work on. Exact torque spec applications are critical to both fastener and attachment integrity and the Klein delivers with a solid, well built tool that functions with fineness and repeatability! The only issue I have is the small scaled tubular readings that are somewhat difficult to read. With good lighting and a bench top magnifier, I can get the readings I need. Possibly, Klein could use a darker contrast print to make setting readings a little easier to discern.

This torque wrench is perfect for any light torque application covering about 3 to 20 ft lbs. It’s 11 inches long with an ultra compact head for getting into tight spaces, yet uses a 3/8” square drive anvil covering the most common range of fastener sizes without needing an adapter. The torque locking ring operates smoothly and precisely and snaps right to the setting when released. The semi-recessed quick release on the ratchet head is a nice bonus feature. The torque setting scales are easy to read. The chrome is impeccable. Finally, it has a very impressive click for a wrench this size and torque range, an issue that plagues lesser quality wrenches. To sum up fit and feel, build quality is second to none. This is without doubt a professional class tool.In terms of performance, mine achieved less than 2% tolerance both CW and CCW (for reverse threaded fasteners) on all but one setting; 50 in lbs CCW came in at 2.2%.The ratcheting mechanism only has 24 teeth, but operates smoothly and even in tight spaces, it’s only being used to finish torqueing a fastener, so is perfectly fine in my book. Also, its compact head makes the low tooth count even more of a non-issue.The torque wrench comes in a quality blow molded case with secure clasps. It is a little on the pricey side, but well worth it considering the sensitive components you’ll likely be torqueing on and the convenience of your local Home Depot if you ever have an issue. In terms of country of origin, the manual it comes with states “Made in USA of domestic and global components”. Knowing a fair amt about torque wrench manufacturers, I am 99% certain the breakdown is as follows: wrench and case are USA, ratchet head is Taiwan, final assembly and testing are USA. The components are all top notch, with the most important part, the wrench itself including the torque mechanism, being USA.
