The High-Leverage Cable Cutter from Klein Tools is awesome. My old pair of cable cutters were a little worn out and needed replacing. And the cutter from Klein Tools was the perfect replacement. I was really amazed as to just how easy they cut thru wire cable with very little effort. The size worked out just right. And they fit in my hands fine. As you can see from the pictures, they made very even and clean cuts. No more having to flex my muscles just to cut some cable. This tool is just plain awesome.

If you work with larger gauge wire or cable this is the perfect high-leverage cable cutter. It can handle up to 4/0 aluminum or 2/0 soft copper with ease. The cable cutters feature the cable gripping shear-type jaws that center the cable or wire in the cutting area so there is no wandering, and supposedly provide up to 30% less force necessary compared to the Klein Tools model 63050 cutter. The cutting area is through hardened for added strength and the milling work looks first rate. The handles are plastic dipped for comfort and grip and allow for single-handed shearing. These are a great addition to my electrical tools that should provide years of quality service.

These cable cutters are not for cutting steel. Copper and aluminum only!I end up cutting more steel cables than copper. For copper these are great. They slice right through thick copper wires. Very sharp. Stick with Klein, they build great, quality tools. The grip is perfect.I received these KLEIN TOOLS HIGH-LEVERAGE CABLE CUTTER for free to write this review.

Klein cable cutters are standard well-made Klein tool. The metal is nicely finished and the handles have thick slip-on red non-slip rubber grips. The tool works smoothly, and the cutting edges are sharp to the touch. Its size at about ten inches allow it to be easily fit in a hip belt. Imprinted on the tool is “Not For Steel or ACSR” so if you forget its easy to check. The package says 30 percent less effort than their 63050 model. While I don’t own that particular cutter, I found the effort to cut 6 gauge copper near effortless with one hand. The cut was clean and smooth. A 4-wire 12 gauge sleeved line also was effortless to cut, and the tool easily opened for it.. the tool has a wider circular opening at the base where larger diameter wire will reside rather than sliding up the cutting blades as the cutting progresses. Larger diameter wire will require a wider opening of the cutter and as a result two hands to complete the cut. The tool opens fully, with the ends of the handles measuring one foot in separation. Understandably a single hand couldn’t operate the cutter fully open, but soft large diameter items can be cut.

A solid quality tool. I have used this item for building a solar power system on our 5th wheel. The cutters work well in the ranges advertised with increasing difficulty as the wire thickens. I have used these cutters many times since and would not hesitate to purchase again if needed, but I should not ever have to unless these go missing. I expect these to last longer then me.

I have several products made by Klein Tools which are exceptional in quality and this cable cutter is no exception. It is very well made and sturdy. The plastic covered handles make it comfortable to handle. I have used it to cut copper electrical wire for an electrical project in my home and it cut with precision and was easy to use. I am especially pleased that it is made in the USA. Do not hesitate to purchase this product.

The Klein high leverage cable cutters are a must have for any DIY or professional. The cutter have a nice length to them giving you superb leverage to cut the cables with. The shape of the cutters are in such a way that it spreads out the cutting edge to maximize the effort to cut the cable. They also are shaped in a way to not deform the round cable shape making it retainis the round
