This tool is what I expected. An amazingly strong pry bar that is heavy and properly angled to remove boards easily. I have been using it for a week now, and I’ve removed an entire deck with 2X6 inch treated 12 foot boards. I have not needed any other tools for most of the job, occasionally I use a hammer to nail down stubborn screws, but mostly I only use the Grizzly bar. Excellent product. I also use it for forearm curls, since it’s heavy and well balanced.

The Klein Tools Grizzly Bar fails at taking large game such as Grizzly Bears. It’s just too clumsy when wielded as a primary weapon when the user assumes the role of the Great White Hunter. However, when used as intended as a first-class lever, it performs flawlessly. It’s oval shaped handle conforms nicely to a gloved hand. The hardened steel working end is tough and reliable for delivering multiplied force to the load. The nail puller feature is nice, but was just a little much for the finish nails that held the casement to my 18th century home’s windows. Yet, in frustration, the bar performed wonderfully as it was propelled, with much velocity, through the plate glass window, negating the need to be so precise with the nails. I’d recommend this product to anyone who understands caveman leverage and needs big results. And, read the warnings carefully. Safety glasses should be worn, especially if your doing windows.

The best wrecking and removal bar I’ve used. Less weighty than a simple iron rod, and built with a nail puller, it’s a great tool for home remodeling. USA made mAkes me happy.

We replaced the flooring in our entire house – removing carpet, laminate and the particle board under the flooring…it was a huge task. Working with the short pry bars out there, I knew my back would be wrecked before long. Searched the internet and found the Grizzly Bar…perfect for our job. This thing is heavy. And well-constructed. It took a lot of abuse and came through for us.Our tip for removing sheets of particle board in really large pieces: shove the Grizzly Bar as far under the sheet as you can with one hand. With the other, use a roofing shingle remover to spread out the lift you give when pulling up the Grizzly Bar and you’ll save yourself a lot of extra work and headache.Definitely recommend this product.
