Klein’s Demolition Scratch Awl/Punch is engineered, manufactured and tested for prying and chiseling. The heat-treated metal shaft runs the complete length of the handle to the metal strike cap. This transfers the impact force directly to the work surface.

It works well to align screws as well as a scribe steel when I needed to do that.

Good sturdy American made tool. It would have gotten 5 starts if the awl was sharp enough to scribe at least soft metal like aluminum – it was not. I guess it is only intended to punch holes as Demolition in name implied. It is the prefect size taper to straighten bent necks on .223 and 6mm (.243) brass if you are into reloading. Shank is .250″
