Klein, the best DYI tool maker in America, plus if the packaging is correct made in America. Well these wire strippers have a little dial on the handle that will give you the gauge of wire it will strip set on desired gauge. Whats real nice is that the dial spins with not much effort, stays put, and easy to read for a old guy. The spring back action is ample, and appears to be made to lack for a good long while. Good strippers.

This is a very simple and compact adjustable wire stripper made for smaller wire sizes. It is made in the USA by Klein tools and adjusts for both solid and stranded wire sizes from 12 to 24 AWG.. The wire stripper is only 5″ long and lies flat in a tool box taking very little space. It is not a heavily made stripper and is better for lighter residential DIY use than for frequent commercial use, It comes with vinyl plastic hand grips and worked well for me in testing on assorted small wiring sizes, it is limited to small wire sizes with 12 AWG wire size being the largest it can handle. For light DIY use I think this is a neat smaller option to some of the larger heavier strippers on the market, and i would recommend it.

Quality is not as good as you would expect with Klein. I bought a similar Southwire tool that cost less and is much better quality.

If you do much work with smaller gauge wires this tool is ideal. I was an electronics tech in the Navy and worked in the electronic industry for 35 years following my discharge, so I do a lot of electrical/electronic tasks and this is a very useful tool. It has a small dial that you set the wire gauge and you’re ready to go. The spring on the handles returns it to the open position – ready for the next wire.

This is a great little light weight wire stripper for the DIY, that will fit into your back pocket as you switch tools. I used this when I changed light switches and moved all over the house. It was quick and efficient. The handles grips make it easy to hold, but should not be treated as insulated. Be sure to turn of the power before you start work on the wires.

I’ve always just used the cheap type of strippers you can get for almost nothing, but had a chance to get these and glad I did. Much easier to handle, has the spring load so when you are done they just pop open, very sharp and leaves a nice clean cut. The rubber grip makes them easy to hold and setting the gauge makes it easy to strip several similar wires fast. This product is worth the money and they really are not asking a lot to start with.

This tool has something that most other wire strippers don’t, a spring that provides a certain level of resistance and causes the stripper jaws to spread when you relax. They are sharp and do the job well. I have one set that I have used for 15 years and they have not dulled. I prefer this adjustable stripper that allows me to strip “by feel” rather than set gauges.

This was a great wire stripper for a small attic. I was running new ceiling fixtures that did not exist in an old house and needed to cut and strip some wires in very tight conditions. These are very small and easy to manipulate in spaces where you can barely even crawl. Also the spring that opens the tools was a real help when you are basically planking on 2x’s it saves a lot of time and strain. The pliers have 4 size pre settings which was so useful in the dark tight space. This made one attic trip possible instead of many from the time and effort they saved

I like the spring loaded of this tool. Adjustment for setting the different gauges to cut the wire seems cheaply made. The mechanism is riveted so one can make the adjustment for the correct gauge of wire to strip the wire. With all this said, the good part is that the wire stripper is great for small projects such as stripping speaker wire or low voltage wires.

Product: Klein 5 in. Adjustable Wire Stripper for 12-25 Solid and Stranded AWG Wire/Country of Origin: USA/////I have got to say that these strippers are just about the niftiest tool I’ve seen in a long time. Talk about problem solvers; there’s a little odd-shaped dial on the handle with a side for each wire gauge from 12 to 25. Just turn the dial to the desired gauge and start stripping. No more concerning yourself with selecting the proper size cutting blades each time you pull them out of your tool belt and definitely no guessing. They’re permanently set for the desired gauge until the setting is changed. They’re especially helpful when doing a lot of stripping of the same gauge wire. I wish I’d known about these little beauties sooner.

This wire stripper’s strongest feature is its ability to cleanly strip stranded wire. It strips the rubber off with ease; and without cutting any strands. I tested it with bent and straight pieces, and came away really impressed. I have one takeaway however, and that is the offset wire gauge selector. On my stripper, the gauge selector is too free-wheeling. After each use, the selector rotates on its own to a different setting. For example, with selector set for #12 wire, the white stripped clean; switching the tool to the black and attempting to strip, it was discovered that the selector had rotated to #16. Overall however, this is a very handy tool; very sharp, gets into tight spaces, very precise settings, easy to use.
