A magnetic double hook has a center top portion for hanging onto conduit right side up AND upside down, while a 1-1/4 in. flared hook was designed specifically to pass-through 1-3/8 in. holes drilled for 1 in. conduit. This large magnet profile attaches to steel and along EMT conduit. A sealed tape brake panel is large enough to allow 2-3 fingers to operate at once for safe retraction, and keeps water and dirt out to prevent tape blade rust and degradation. The high impact rugged case is more durable, offers a better grip and stands up to use and abuse.

It’s the Bee’s Knee’s! If you’re an electrician this is perfect for what we do! Long stand-out strength, a magnet that’s not too strong or too weak. It can handle all the dirt and dust. Numbers are easy to read in dim light. And it’s Klein. You look more like a pro.

I have used the Milwaukee magnetic tape and it has some features that are nicer, but the tape itself is not as nice. The magnetic end is very compact and works great. The under case tape grip works nicely and makes it easier to grab and hold than some that just have the tape exposed. The belt clip does not hold strongly like other tape measures, which makes it easy to pull from a belt or pouch clip, but does get knocked off easy. Overall, it is a nice tape measure, just would like to see a more substantial tape and belt clip.

The bottom quick hold is nice, the standout is good, and the readability of the marks is good. The only con is accuracy if you were doing fine woodworking or something, but as it’s Klein I imagine anybody buying this is an electrician in which case it’s plenty accurate.
