Nut or Hex drivers are the way to go if you have a hex head screw or bolt. This one has a very strong magnet inside that will hold your screw or bolt in place so you don’t have to hold it with your hand. Even a phillips head needs you to hold it until the screw bites into the material. This bit surrounds the hex head to provide great grip and the magnet holds the screw securely in place.

These Klein Tools 5/16th inch magnetic hex driver/bit holders seem pretty heavy duty, I was kind of impressed with how well the magnets hold the bits in place, they definitely seem to have a bit more “pull” than I was expecting. The holders seem well-made, and the 3-pack is great for someone like me who has the nasty habit of occasionally putting tools in a ‘special place.’

Magnetic 5/16 in. Hex Driver (3 Pack). Well made product. The magnet is strong and securely holds a bit. Be sure that you have 5/16 in. bits to use with these drivers. Most people have 1/4 in. bits. Designed for heavy duty use. There is a 3/16 bit engagement in the driver. Maybe could use a little deeper engagement. Packaging is well suited for storage.

Great drivers. Fit most quick disconnect I tried and have thick wall sides and a very strong magnet. I could not drop the screw once the magnet grabbed it. Sideways, upside down or straight down the screws never came out of the socket. I drove 38 screws into the shoulder of the cap and never slipped once even after driving them all in. Not a whole lot so far but expect hundreds more would not have a bad effect on this Hex Driver. The short length worked great in close quarters between dividers when on my impact driver. I highly recommend this product in any size as they were very easy to use and durable.

I used these hex drivers with my Milwaukee power driver to driver in screws into my metal roofing on my work shop. The drivers are magnetic and hold the roofing screws in while I begin driving the screws. It is nice that I don’t have to worry about a screw dropping to the ground when I am up on the ladder. They are 5/16 bits that fit in any kind of driving gun. It locks in place and will not fall out of the driving gun. A nice bit for my collection of hex drivers.

all materials were great except for lumber. Dont let employees pull your lumber. They try and sell me their trash when I let them pull lumber.

These 5/16” magnetic hex drivers for drills are by Klein Tools, come 3 to a package, and are 1 3/4 inches long. They’re really sturdy, fit in both my drill and nut driver handle, and the magnet holds the screw very well. They’re good for a multitude of uses, but lately I’ve been using them for installing overhead smoke detector brackets, and they’ve really helped to speed up the process a lot.

These Klein magnetic hex drivers are a standard part of my drill/driver arsenal. I’ve been associated with skilled trades most of my work life. I’ve worked in the mechanical/electrical field quite a bit. The use of hex-head sheet metal screws are being used continuously. These hex head screws are used a lot installing sheet metal and duct work. Also in the installation of electrical hardware. It’s nice to have extra bit drivers.

The Klein Tools 3/8 inch magnetic Hex driver (3-pack) is another handy addition to your tool box. The magnetic driver holds the nut or bolt securely while using your 1/4 inch drive impact driver or variable speed drill. Working in a tight spot where you might other wise possibly drop or lose a nut or bolt the magnet will hold it in place while you loosen or tighten.

Very solid Hex Driver, with sufficient material around the Driver head to enable a lasting tool. By reviewing the Klein Tool WEB site, the material is hardened beyond the normal metal to provide the durability needed on a job site. And, the “Three Pack” gives you numbers to keep going. Would consider the 1/4 and 3/8 Hex Drivers to augment and thus give you a range of sizes. While it may be my searching, but I could not find a “set” of the Hex Drivers on either the Home Depot or Klein tool WEB sites. I did find T-Handle and screw driver sets, but not the electric drill supported. May not be an issue for the Contractor use, but I believe the Home DIY person could use the range of sizes without purchasing multiple packs.

I really like there sheet metal screw Drivers. After opening the package you can notice the heft of the driver, and can tell it is a quality made product. They state that they contain a strong rare Earth Magnet that will firmly hold the screw. I was skeptical at first as I have had other drivers that stated they would securely hold the screw to only have the screw fall out when trying to drive the Screw. This Driver DEFINITELY has a strong magnet. I inserted a 1.5” long Screw into the Driver, held it Horizontally, and Vertically towards the ground without the Screw falling out. While using the Driver I didn’t have any problem with the Screw wobbling or trying to fall out while driving. This is a good strong driver that will save a lot of hassle and frustration, and speed up your project.

Tools from Klein seem to always be quality tools, and the 3 pack 5/16 Magnetic Hex Drivers are no exception. I used the drivers with my Ryobi drill to repair the R-Panel on my shop. With additional helpers on the project, I was glad the package included three. The magnet was truly strong, and it worked well to starting screws from an overhead position. These are well built and should last a long while. I would like to see these offered in a longer shaft in the future though. Good value.

Klein Tools ⅜” Magnetic Hex DriversThese drivers (3 pack) have a very strong magnet that securely holds your sheet metal screw in place until you get it driven into your material. This is very helpful when you are up on a ladder so you don’t have to use one hand to hold the screw while you drive it. You won’t drop nearly as many screws! The size is in large print on the side for those of us that need bifocals!

It’s just incredible how the right tool can make a job easy. This was used by me to install metal screws on a gutter and downspout system for my house. When you are up on a ladder screwing parts of the downspout together, it would be very difficult to hold the screw in one hand while also holding the power drill in the other, all while on the ladder. This magnetic holder makes it all easy. Wonderful device!

I’m not sure if the way this was packaged is the way it is sold. I thought it odd that you would sell three drivers of the same size. I tried the driver and being magnetic is a nice feature. It is frustrating to have a bolt or nut fall out of the driver head which won’t happen with these heads. The quality seems good but I didn’t try it on an old bolt or nut that might be more of a challenge.

These magnetic drivers come in handy for pole barn metal sheeting. The 1-3/4 inch length is not bad, but I prefer a little longer. I have used some drivers that were not magnetic and it is a hassle to have to keep both hands tied up holding the nut driver and the screw. The magnetic drivers help to give you a free hand while performing tasks. This is a useful feature when standing on a ladder.

these are great magnetic drivers with a 1/4 inch shank for self tapping sheet metal screws I don’t know why I didn’t get them sooner always dropping screws when I am upside down or in a tight space and its the last screw in my pocket. Also this 3 pack is great because no matter what I do seems the chuck comes loose and I drop one so spares are handy as well These are made in taiwan by a family owned business in chicago
