Basically, it scores the conduit and then you snap the pipe at the score line. It does not cut the pipe. Instructions are lacking to say the least. Screw down the scoring wheel until it contacts the conduit pipe, then tighten (about one notch on the handle), spin around the pipe three times. Repeat this tighten/spin process six more times. Depending on the amount of pipe being cut off, either step on the pipe and snap it off, or for smaller cutoffs, insert the 1/2″ conduit into a 3/4 steel pipe (my bender handle) and snap it that way. The control handle spins very nicely. There is another unit at about the same price that includes an extra wheel and a built-in reamer (Klein 88904 Professional Tubing Cutter)

The cutter worked great it scored the conduit then with a little bend the conduit snapped right at the score.

Works perfectly.

Still leaves a bit of a burl inside the pipe that should be taken care of. Especially when pulling wire as this can damage the wire. Otherwise when used properly it makes it easy to cut Conduit to nice accurate lengths

It worked very well cutting 1”entry. Had to use a little muscle to break but was expected. Great tool

I said before that this product was no good. I had to give it another try b/c I just couldn’t believe Klein’s product testers would let something so ineffective hit the shelves. I think I may have been “cutting” too far. At least on 1/2 in. I tried it again not cutting so deep, and it worked OK. I’d say if you can see the stopper/bushing part of the cutting wheel starting to mark the pipe, stop! Don’t think you even need to go that far.

Excellent EMT cutter. By carrying it in my basic electrical tool kit in the trunk of my car, I am able to purchase 10’ EMT tubing lengths at times when I do not have my van with me. I simply knock of 3’ and thr EMT fits in my passenger car. Also when inside a customers house, I use it.

The large size keeps hand from cramping. Ball bearings provide smooth action and a simple quick spin of the handle sends the mouth back to full open.

Smooth, sharp and good size

Much easier than sawing, and nice even snap with no burrs. Can’t go wrong with Klein tools.
