We had trouble with a skunk breaking through lattice to take up residence under our back deck, so we purchased a role of chicken wire to place under the lattice. That meant a LOT of trimming on the wire to make it fit. Our old snips weren’t up to the task. We LOVE these 12-inch snips! Construction is solid, and cutting was a breeze. If there’s any “con”, it’s that these are designed for right-hand use. Spouse is a lefty and could use them, but started to rub a blister. Good news – skunk moved on!

I like these snips – it is exceptionally good as they can take replacement blades – this saves in the long run

Klein Tools is a household name for quality tools. I guess since they have been around since 1857 they really know what they are doing! No other brand can compete in my book. These 12-inch tin snips cut a 3.5-inch straight and wide curves beautifully, and are ideal for not only tin, but also for copper and aluminum. The blades are made of high-carbon steel and are easy to replace. This all-steel construction gives you long life and lasting durability.

These snips are a good quality tool. I have used them so far on AC ducting and thinner dryer ducts. They cut either very well. I like that they are lightweight and the handle loops are large enough to allow you to cut while wearing protective gloves. The ability to replace the cutting edges is a nice feature and will save money in the long run. The handles on tools like this don’t wear out, but the edges do.

12 in tin snips. Good looking product. Nice design with professional looking finish. Large handles allow you to apply full hand pressure in cutting while still being very comfortable to use. 3.5 in cutting length with replaceable blades. Sharp enough to paper easily and cleanly. The same for cutting .025 mild steel. Can easily cut curves in aluminum.

Thes Klien tin snips have a straight cutting edge. Most of the snips I have found have a curved cutting edge. These are heavy duty cutting edges that can also be changed out for new blades. The handles are steel also and make it easier to grip the handles. The blades screw off to replace. I used these to cut metal composite panels and to cut rough edges of torn thick metal from the top of a mobile home. They give you a smooth cut without snagged snipped marks in the metal. These tin snipes would last a lifetime, because all the others I have purchased have become dull and are no more useful to cut with .I can also cut the tin panels on the old mobile homes with these snips very easily. When I need to cut galvanized tin that is thick,i have no problems, making it easier for me to replace tin that has been damaged.

Excellent quality and solidly made of good materials. They were very sharp and great for cutting 16 gauge both aluminum and tin sheeting. I do believe that for any thickness over 16 gauge you will need a larger set of tin snips as it does take a fair deal of strength to cut 16 gauge in with 12″ time snips. I have used Klein tools for years and have found them made of the best quality material and to be highly durable. I recommend these tin snips. .

There are a few brands that I really trust and Klein is one of them. This is a very nice set of snips, and like most Klein products, should last most of us a lifetime. The blades are replaceable and the handles are powder coated steel. Yet they are surprisingly light weight. The grips seem to be ambidextrous – at least they feel good in either hand. The grips are designed to be used with gloves – and you should be wearing gloves if you are working with sheet metal. Ask me how I know. Replacing the blades is a simple matter of removing two screws that hold each blade on. The two halves of the ship are held together with a bolt and a nylon lock nut. This allows you to make fine adjustments over time as the blades wear or when you need to replace the blades. These went through coil stock like butter. Looks like my sloppy old snips go to the garage sale. Great job Klein and Home Depot!

I purchased these snips to cut 3 mil polycarbonate sheets, which they did with ease. I also recently used them to cut some 1/2 in hardware cloth and they worked well. I did my homework before purchasing, and I am very satisfied with these. Would definitely recommend

These are amazing. When we first got these of course like most people we had to see how much these could cut. We cut a thick piece of cardboard, a soda can and were amazed at how easily these went through each item. We wish we had had these earlier in the year as we had a heavy plastic sheeting that we wanted to use as a kitchen backsplash but could not cut these would have done the job.

Let me start off with the main problem with these – you expect Klein to be manufactured in the US; these are not. They are made in Taiwan. Otherwise, these are great tin snips. I used them on 24 gauge wire fencing and they cut very well. The frame feels to be cast steel with a black powder coated paint. The replaceable blades are machined steel. The feels handle awkward with small hands, until you put gloves on. They seem to be designed especially for use with gloves. You simply cannot go wrong with Klein. They make best electrician tools with no question. And now it seems they are moving into the HVAC world.

I’m very pleased with the Klein Tools 12 inch tin snips for their excellent quality and cutting ability. The replaceable blade is very sharp and the design allows for straight cuts or wide curves. It will cut a variety of sheet metals including tin. copper, aluminum, as well as 24 gauge cold rolled steel and 28 gauge stainless steel. It’s all steel construction makes it durable and long lasting. I definitely recommend these tin snips for the professional or homeowner with sheet metal cutting needs.
