This is my new favorite tape measure. I have or have had tape measures from several brands (you can never have enough whether you’re a builder or home owner), and this one really measures up! 13′ stand-out is a stretch, but you can do 12′ reliably. (Yes, I did get it to stand out 13′, but not consistently. The long stand-out distance is achieved by having a more concave to the shape than most tape measures, which is the only downside.The other cool feature that I didn’t know I needed was an easy-to-press brake underneath. There is a permanent hold button on the front like most tape measures which easily locks the tape in place, but the button underneath is convenient if you only need to lock the tape for a second or three while it’s in your hand.

The measuring tape does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is longer then most tapes which may only go to about 18′ this one goes to 25′ which makes bigger projects much easier to measure without having to worry about miscalculations. It is easy to use, precise and goes in and out of the instrument rather seamlessly. This measuring tape is made very well.

High quality and durable. The one inch wide steel measuring rule is excellent in measuring long distances without sagging which is helpful when measuring by yourself. The accuracy of the tape is one-sixteenth of an inch in the imperial measuring system. There is no ability to measure using this tape in the metric system. There are highlight marks for each foot and at 16″ which is the common measurement for truss distances.

I love klein! They just make amazing products. I’ve been using their screwdrivers and other tools for sometime. When I saw the tape measure I actually needed a new one. I had lost the other one I had. The packaging was easy to tear open. One of my favorite parts is that the numbers are actually all pretty big in size. Easier to read. I can’t stand small lettering on a tool that needs to be easy to function.

A very high quality and solidly constructed tape measure. The tape is strong and stiff and easily stays flat when extended at least 10 feet which I find makes it much easier to use when measuring out projects. The wide tape is boldly marked with clear measurements that is easy on the eyes. The housing is solid and has already withstood a few drops. I like the grip area on the bottom of the tape which make for a comfortable and secure way to easily hold the unit with my index finger. Another Klein quality too for my box.

Now my #1 go-to tape. Feels good in the hand, substantial and sturdy. I like the large tape width and the large numerals and incremental markings a great deal. The brake is a super idea and works very well as does the lockout. I had to test the 13 foot advertised standout, and I was able to consistently get 13′ 8″ out of it, but in a realistic sense, due to substantial sag at that length I think a standout of 10′-12′ is more realistic, although it does indeed go to 13′ as promised.

It claims to stay rigid up to 13 feet and when testing, it did just that. I also like that there is a button on the bottom that helps you control the speed when retracting the tape back into the case. No more snapping of the tape when it gets close to the end. It also has a clip that will definitely hold it in place when clipped to your belt. It measures approximately 3 inches high, 3 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches thick (including the clip). The tape itself is a large 1 1/8 inches wide, wider than any other tape measure I own. This is no household duty tape measure but one that could take a beating and still come out on top. I expect this to last a long long time.

Klein Tools 25 ft Measuring Tapes is made of impact resistant housing that has a molding over is to protect the tape measure. The rubber molding gives and excellent grip so it will not slip out of hands very easy. The 25 ft tape measures 1 ¼ in. wide. In making it that wide you can pull it out longer before it snaps. They claim the standout is 13 ft, when I did mine it was over 15 ft. Very impressive! Another nice feature is the retraction speed brake controls on the bottom of the housing. No more pinched fingers. The easy to read markers on the blade is marked every 1/8 in. So, no more clutter trying to read the marks. It has a metal belt clip the help hold to your belt, pockets or pouches.

This Klein 25′ Tape measure is made well.The tape is sturdy and strong with a large number lay-out for easy reading from many angles.I typically don’t like such a wide tape fro my tool belt, but this tape is nice to use and easy to work with.Unlike some of the guys I work with on the job site.But, this tape is a good deal when you consider it gives you so much at a fair price.
