If you are in need of a tape measure that is not really long for measuring this is the tape measure for you. It is very light in weight and seems to have a nice durable case. I did not know when I bought that the actual measuring part is made of some type of fiber or something. It is the first tape measure I have ever had with this kinda measuring. It is very soft to the hands when touching which I love. Some of the tape measures that have the metal tapes feel like you can cut your hands on the edge. Really one of the best tape measures I have ever bought.

The Klein Tools tape measure has some features that make it stand out among the dozens (or maybe hundreds) of choices. The extra blade width provides for a very long reach without buckling. The packaging claims a 13 foot standout, although mine maxed out just short of 12 feet. Still, that’s quite a bit better than my other tape measure which barely gets out to 7 feet. The blade is coated with nylon to help resist scratches and rust and it has large easy to read numbers printed on both sides. There is a magnetic double hook on the end, helpful for measuring conduit / pipe. It has two blade brakes, one on the front above the blade which can also a lock it, and one on the bottom which is a brake only. Finally it has an extra large (wide and deep) belt clip so it will stay securely where you put, but doesn’t snag or stick when you slide it off.

Very nice tool for the tool box! The magnet on the end is strong enough that it will support the weight of the tape measure itself. The tape has markings on the top and bottom of the tape so it can be read from either side. Further in on the bottom side of the tape there is info such as distance shrinkage for conduit bends and wire connection color codes.

THIS KLEIN TOOLS 16′ MAGNETIC DOUBLE HOOK TAPE MEASURE IS FUNCTIONAL AND VERY WELL MADE . THERE ARE SO MANY WELL THOUGHT OUT FEATURES IN THIS TAPE MEASURE . I LIKE THE DOUBLE HOOK IT LETS YOU ATTACH TO VARIOUS STARTING POINTS TO GET YOUR MEASUREMENTS WITHOUT THE NEED OF SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD. I LIKE THE LOCKING THUMB SLIDE BUT THE SLOW DOWN RETRACTING OF THE TAPE FEATURE ON THE BOTTOM IS REALLY NICE . THE COATING ON THE TAPE ITSELF IS GREAT IT KEEPS YOUR TAPE MEASURE FROM BINDING AND CRIMPING THAT RUINS THE USE OF A TAPE MEASURE. THE CHARTS ON THE TAPE MEASURE WILL BE USEFUL FOR AN ELECTRICIAN. THIS TAPE MEASURE SHOULD LAST ME FOR MANY YEARS OF USE..

I’ve just tried this tape measure and I’m really impressed. It has many quality features:1. Compact case clamped securely on my belt, although it is a tad on the heavy side at just under 1 lb (actually 15 ozs).2. The bright orange/black casing made it easier to locate among my tools/supplies (see picture), and the hard plastic casing seems durable to survive mishaps although I did not drop it.3. I find long stand-outs to be very helpful when I’m working alone and can’t hold the front of the tape in position. The packaging claims a 13’ standout, and while this was true, when jostled slightly the tape caved (see picture). At 12’ it was sturdy.4. The tape lock mechanism worked superbly, with a solid “click” down locking it in place, and when released, you can apply pressure to the lock to retrieve it slowly without snapback. Very nice (see picture).5. The tape end features a double-hook which was convenient for grabbing ends from either side of the tape, and it’s magnetized, which really assisted me to hold the tape to metal studs (see picture). Perhaps the additional weight of the product is owing to the magnetic feature – in which case, I think it’s justified. This is another unique and great feature to have.6. Clear, easy to read markings on both side of the tape (one side is yellow, the other white), AND for electrician-types there is a handy conduit-bending conversion guide printed on one side. I’m not good enough to figure it out, but I imagine experts can. (see pictures)This measure is clearly a cut above many similar products, and my experience with the durability of Klein tools have been very favorable. Except perhaps for the weight of the product, there is everything to like about this measure, and it’s reasonably priced for all that it offers.

This a very well equipped tape measure. The sale is printed on both sides which is great when I’m measuring overhead with the tape standing out. I don’t need another person to hold the other end because it is able to stand out 13 feet ! The tape also has a nylon coating which gives it protection against wear. I Also found that the coating eliminates glare. The housing is slip resistant and has a retraction brake which avoids the blade cutting or pinching your fingers. The magnetic double hook is feature.

Outstanding heavy-duty tape rule. This tape rule is made for rugged use. The numeric’ s on the tape rule are very easy to read. I do some electrical work that requires me to bend and form conduit. The conduit table on the blade is a quick reference for bending the conduit. Love the 13 ft. stand-out for measuring and the magnetic tape rule double hook.

This is a great tape. It’s a little on the large/bulky side, but it will definitely take a fall or three. There are some things that make this tape stand out from the dozens of others I own. I really like the pocket clip. It’s long and wide. It fits deep into pockets so if you are more comfortable sticking it in your back pocket then through your belt, it stays put. I also like the retraction brake. The magnetic hook is both really handy and sometimes annoying as it will grab stray nails/screws. There is a conduit bending table on the back side of the tape as well, and the hook will pass through a 1 3/8″ hole.

This is one of the best tape measures I have ever owned. It is 16 feet long and it has measurements on both sides of the tape. You can go out 13 feet before the tape begins to bend and the end of the tape has two clips to attach the tape when measuring. There is also a brake for speed control and the end of the tape is magnetic. There is also a large clip on the back to attach it to a belt.

Klein Tools 9216 16’ Double Hook Magnetic Tape Measure – This is a well designed and engineered tape measure, that is quality manufactured…Klein tape measures have more features for the electrical construction industry than tape measures from other manufactures…The blades on this series of tape measures is 1 1/8” wide, providing approximately 13’ of standout, the double hook is extremely rigid, due to being attached to the blade with (4) rivets, the blade has easy to read bold lines and the tape measure is graduated in 1/8” incriminates, the blade is covered with nylon to protect the printing and provide longer blade life, this tape measure includes a lanyard slot to prevent accidental dropping as well as a blade brake to control return speed, The measurement scale is printed on the front of the blade in horizontal format and on the reverse of the blade in a vertical format, this tape measure has a magnetic double hook that can secure the tape measure to studs, pipes, conduit, on the front or the reverse side allowing measurement from either scale, the housing is impact resistant with an over molded soft layer, the metal belt clip is slightly larger as well as slightly more rigid than other well know tape measures, This tape measure includes a conduit bending table and a 3 phase panel layout guide on the reverse side of the tape measure…This tape measure performed as indicated, intended and expected without any problems, it would serve any electrician quite well…
