This is a really excellent tape measure. I mostly got it because it has extremely clear markings–it’s all in inches, the numbers are quite large and easy to see, and the fractional markings are very easy to keep track of. I didn’t think I would really care about the magnetic hook, but it has already come in handy. As you can see in the attached photo, the magnet is really quite strong, so you can easily pull out tape without the magnet becoming dislodged. I also really like the brake this tape measure has to keep the tape from whipping back at you too quickly. The standout length is a bit over-sold–the package says 13′, but mine flops at about 9′. Not a big deal to me, but it might be for some folks. The only real drawback for me is that this is quite a heavy measure–2 or 3 pounds–so it’s not one that I’ll be carrying around on my belt for making quick measurements. But otherwise, it has become my go-to tape measure.

Nice wide heavy duty tape measure

It fits my hand well. I really like the hold on the bottom so you don’t have to fumble around trying to lock the tape for a quick measurement. The magnet is strong enough to hold onto steel studs but not too strong that it pulls to everything metal as you’re trying to get it where you want it. Beware of pulling the tape out too far. Most tapes are riveted at the end or fastened somehow. This tape only hooks onto the spring. It will slip off if you fully extend the tape.

Does the job sturdy enough. Best thing about it is the magnetic tip which is quite strong compared to other models.

Amazing tape measure worth the money.

Best tape measure I’ve had. It’s wider than a fat max and the curled edges makes it reach out far

Tradesman grade quality and features not found in most tape measures. Large, easy to read markings on BOTH sides of the tape which is extremely useful when using overhead plus engagement hooks also on both sides for more “landing” opportunities. Some of its not typical features are very useful for electrical conduit bending and 3 phase layoutsSpecs claim a 13ft “standout” but in my testing it starts seriously drooping at around 10ft but when working on a ladder, especially overhead, anything over 8ft is greatly appreciated. All of this requires beefy material to work which translates to heavy duty (with the keyword in this case being “heavy”). Be careful when retracting this tape since it requires a powerful spring which if you are not paying attention when employing the drag brake, you are probably going to bleed some (I am not exaggerating)

Better than the Black and Yellow… You know the brand I mean.or others that I had before.I have a black & yellow but extended it bends easily. This Klein works better. Is more sturdy and also easier to fit on my belt

Best tape I’ve yet used. Very smooth action and noticeably stronger than any others when extending.

I love this tape. It’s very durable and strong, and it is well marked on both the top and bottom sides of the tape. It has a locking mechanism on the front of the tape, which holds the tape securely when extended, and there is a brake on the bottom of the tape body that allows you to reel in the tape at a slower pace. The magnetic tip with the double hook is also very convenient and allows for easy one-person measuring.

You know, I guess we probably own 30 tape measurers, likely a few more than that. Tape measurers from several name brand manufacturers and several from no-names manufacturers. The Klein Tools 25 ft. Tape Measure with Magnetic Double-Hook will easily fall into my own Top 5. It is accurate, the magnetic double-hook feature is extremely valuable, and any tape 25’ or larger should come standard with a finger brake, this Klein Tape does. This finger brake prevents your skin from contacting the moving blade with a trigger or brake shoe design. And in the event the tape was to become damaged, this separation is much safer upon fast speed retrieval. Not many tapes are double-sided, this Klein Tape is. And, it doesn’t stop there. Klein prints, the-o-so-important, Conduit Bending Multiplier as well as that 3-Phase Table. Now ergonomics; This Klein Tape is made of plastic. I am not sure what percentage is covered in a black rubber over-mold but it has to be around 75-80%. The rubber over-mold also encompasses the finger lock/release mechanism, finger brake, entire top, bottom at least 85% of the face.In ending, this Klein Tape is lanyard compatible and like mentioned above, already makes my Top 5.

Klein Tools 25-foot magnetic double hook measuring tape is definitely one of the better tapes that I have ever owned but at almost two pounds weight it will probably see more of my work bench than being clipped onto my work belt. The tape itself is SAE and is graduated in 1/16” lines that are bold and very easy to read. Additional foot- inch and 16-inch center markings are also identified on the tape. The tape material is steel with a heavy-duty nylon coating for wear and corrosion resistance. OEM states that the tape can be extended out 13 feet without it bending (snapping), I actually got it out to well over 14 feet several times with no issue. The tape is double sided with a pipe bending (shrinkage) chart and a three-phase layout guide on the back side. The hook is double sided so the back-side hook can be used with pipe (see photo) and the tape will curl around the pipe helping it to stay on. Anyone who has ever worked with pipe understands that this pipe hook feature makes the tape worth having period. The hook is magnetic and will pick up items as large as a normal size claw hammer. The actual size is 2 5/16” wide by 3 7/16 high and long, just shy of 2 lbs. in weight and the case is made of ABS plastic with some rubberized armor on the corners to help if dropped. The tape has both a locking and a finger-controlled retraction speed brake feature along with a belt clip and lanyard loop. OEM states the tape is 1 inch wide, it’s more like 1 1/8” wide. This is a great tape to have, easy to read, lots of retraction control, works great on pipe and you can pick up tools with it. Recommended.
