Many new features make this a ‘must have’ in my shop. Underside finger brake (no more smashed fingers), 13 foot standout (can read more than a full 10′ conduit span), magnetic tip (grabs the box you are piping to for an accurate measurement), big easy to read numbers, conduit bend and shrink ‘cheat sheet’ on the back of the rule along with a 3 phase quick reference. So far, seems to be built to tough Klein standards – I can’t answer that from experience for another year or so. 😉 I would recommend to any electrician.

Yet another fantastic Klein tool! I guess you can tell I like Klein tools, they are very well built and long lasting. I have three Klein tape measures. This one has two magnetic hooks on it. It has a nice wide blade for easy reading. Thirteen foot stand out. And a blade break to slow it down while retracting it. If you’re an electrician it has a conduit bending table on the back or bottom side of the blade. The belt hook on the Klein tapes are the best I have ever had. I usually clip it onto my pocket instead of my belt and it works fantastic. Other tapes clips are really stiff and hard to clip on. It’s an inch wide and it clips on real easy. I highly recommend it.

A tape with features for an electrician. Very heavy duty. 13′ extension is far long enough for measuring 10′ conduit. Magnetic end for steel materials. Klein tools for electricians. Great to see that Klien is developing new products, and Home Depot carries them.

The tape is nylon coated which is huge compared to others I’ve used where after a few months the clear laminated protecter starts peeling. It also has a good stand out and doesn’t break after a few feet. Also, it’s great that they added numbers on both sides.

Tape standout is as good as claimed. Easy to read on top side. Multiplier on bottom make it hard to see measurement. Magnet is strong and hooks work well. Clip hooks to pants/tape holder and doesn’t over stick. Way better than previous model

There are several aspects of this tape measure that should make it the preferred tool of contractors. The double hook feature makes it very easy to use when you are doing rough carpentry. I found I used it more than the magnetic capability. What I really like is both sides of the tape have measurements in large size numbers so it is easy to read at a distance. I can read the total distance and also mark the studs. My hands are average in size. I have a hard time gripping the tape measure. It is heftier than most making it difficult to use with one hand.
