It’s a great laser level… IF you can get it into a position where the laser hits your target. Other levels I own have an adjustable foot in the front that lets you change where the horizontal line hits the wall by adjusting it up or down, this one does not. Other levels I own include a wide c-clamp so you can mount on a door frame or door, this one does not (instead it has some sort of useless clamp that can clip on to things 1/4″ wide or less). Other levels I own have a nail/screw hook that is exactly in position with the laser spot (so you can hang a nail at the desired height then shoot a beam from it), this one does not. It does have a nail hook, but it is randomly placed and does not correspond with the laser position. This leaves you with a few options… shoot your line randomly and just hang it at whatever height that is (probably fine for pictures), stack books under it until you hit your mark (but then you have to play the “can I find a book that is 3/8″ thick” game), or hang it close to your mark and then make measurements up or down from the line. I was using this to hang cabinets and I would have liked to shoot a line, then hang the cabinet so the line is flush with bottom of the cabinet. Instead, I had to make dozens of meticulous measurements and marks above the line, then snap a chalk line to my marks. I really don’t understand how such an obvious feature was missed on this level. It is accurate and easy to use, so credit where credit is due… but how useful is an accurate level that can’t actually position it’s laser where it needs to be?

This is a super tool. It is self leveling which makes it nice for horizontal or vertical laser lines. It is also nice that you can project vertical or horizontal lines independently or together which is real nice in some jobs. I like the 360 degree magnetic mount and as a plus it has a 1/4 and a 5/8 inch tripod mounting threads that makes it easy to put on any size tripod. The plumb spot laser to pinpoint overhead locations is a real plus. You can accomplish multiple tasks with this one tool. Just in case the tool is water and dust resistant which means you cant put it under water but a sprinkle will not hurt it. The carrying case is designed to protect it from those bumps and hits from being in a tool box or job box. This is a real handy tool to have on the job site. I wouldn’t trade mine for anything. Good investment.

I found this Klein Tools Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser Level with Plumb Spot to be exactly what I needed. Exceptional Tool right out of the box. Has cut my time by at least 1/2 of what it would normally take to lay-out decks, walls and floors. (Leveling and working on older houses).

I have never used a laser level but this one appears accurate, simple, and very useful. My only complaint is that walking near it sends vibrations and you have to be still for a bit and wait for the line to stop bouncing. I assume they all do that. The quality seems excellent.

This is a great level! I love the easy-to-read laser level lines. The magnetic mount and ceiling clip mount are so cool. I have never seen anything like this. My neighbor has not either was really jealous. I also like the plumb spot lasers to pinpoint overhead locations. It makes work so much easier. It is sturdy and compact and comes with the neatest hard carrying case. Thanks.

Very pleased with the laser. I wish that the lock could be used while the laser is turned on but that’s not a huge concern. This is a great laser that has a plumb spot for a good price.

The Klein Tools self-leveling cross-line laser level with plumb spot is a great all-in-one laser level for all your household needs. It has 3 different options that can be used together or separately: horizontal line, vertical line, plumb spot. All 3 laser options are very bright and visible both in a dimly lit and a brightly lit room. This is awesome for handing shelves and pictures in a bright room. There are also a number of different mounting options on the unit for setting up the level. You can set it on something or used one of the various mounting options: magnets, a 1/4″ threaded mount, a 5/8″ threaded mount, and a separate mounting clamp that is included in the box. Another nice feature is that the laser head can pivot and rotate in the unit so you can set up the laser level securely and just rotate the laser head as needed. This level is rated as water and dust resistant, allowing you to use it outdoors – though I have not had the need to test this rating. The entire unit comes in a nice protective carrying case for storage and transport. This is a great laser level and I would highly recommend it.
