The Klein D209-5C 5″ midget diagonal cutting point nose pliers is a great and solidly constructed hand tool. I really like its overall light weight and miniature size with comfortable cushion handle grips. It also has a powerful spring loaded self opening pointed nose cutting feature which I especially like when cutting electronic component leads and wires on printed circuit boards. It is so nice to see that these pliers are made in the United States. I have great faith in the Klein Tools name, quality and its long life durability.

Does not exactly live up to the Klein Tool reputation. Cutting edges seem dull even when used with very small gauge stranded electric wire. Jaws do not sit flush when closed and seems to overlap on cutting edges. Grips are ok and standard plastic dip. Being spring loaded, they do cut down repetitive motion stress when used. I have regulated these pliers to 2nd tier use status at work for cutting zip ties for which they seem better suited for.

Very functional cutting pliers for multi use! These little pliers are great for all sorts of jobs. The pliers are extremely sharp and are very comfortable in your hands. The spring opened assist and smooth operation make the pliers great to use. I would strongly recommend to anyone that is looking for a high quality, and sharp, pair of pliers to add to their toolbox. They work great for detailed cutting in a compact size! A+

Super quality diagonal cutting pliers from Klein! I have a several Klein tools including a couple of pairs of pliers. Klein has never let me down – its a brand I have come to trust especially for electrician’s tools. These little diagonal cutters are no exception. They feel solid yet well balanced and precise. These pliers are spring loaded to open, which is nice for doing detailed work. The plastic dipped handles are curved and fit my hand well. The jaws are set to cut semi flush – which is fine for the kind of work I need these for. The pointed tips make it easy to access tight spaces. The jaws are induction hardened tool steel. The two halves of the pliers are hot riveted together and operate smoothly with no play or wobble whatsoever. Easily cuts wire – even using the very tips of the pliers. I picked these up to do a little winter-time project that involves putting together printed circuit boards. If you need to cut wire with surgical precision or you just need a really good set of small diagonal cutting pliers, these are the ones for you.

Sometimes you need just the right size pliers for delicate cutting jobs. These 5” midget cutting pliers are perfectly suited for that type of job. They have a nice pointed nose that tapers in nicely to allow for flush-cutting. They also have a spring open handle, so they won’t get stuck in the closed position. They really come in handy when you’re doing electronics or small gauge wiring. As with all Klein Tools they are of superior quality and are built to be durable.

Good grip and easy cuts. Great for quick jobs like cutting zip ties off or trimming down smaller grade wires. I haven’t done anything stronger with them but they do appear to be able to hold up to even larger jobs. Small enough to keep in our back pocket when climbing a ladder. What can I say they work great and serve a purpose for every day jobs around the house.

Simple and easy, these pliers have held up well so far. The strength seems accurate and durable, I have used it within reason, I didn’t go out and try to cut low gage wires but I think they will work for the average material. They’ve cut through 12 and 14 gauge wire no problem. The grip feels good and hasn’t slipped off the handles like in past products. Id like to see how long they last but I feel that based on the small time I’ve had them that they will last a long time.

Klein Tools has been around for 161 years and does many things well, and some things, like pliers and cutters, exceptionally well. These 5” midget cutting pliers are no exception. They taper in nicely and can serve as flushcutters for most applications, though they are more like traditional diagonal cutting pliers and far more durable. They also have a handy spring back to them so they aren’t likely to get stuck in the closed position.Really handy to have around when you’re doing wiring or electronics work, or need to cut small objects like zip ties and are tired of relying on scissors.Made (very well) in the USA. If you’re in the market for a small pair of pliers, check these out. Note in my Home Depot, you will typically find the Klein tools in the electronics section rather than the tools section. So don’t forget to check there at yours.

Great tool and just the right size for electronic and electrical work. Love the pointed tip which allows clipping wires or terminals just so.
