HIGH LEVERAGE SIDE CUTTERS WITH RING from Klein tools is a professional grade tool that will not disappoint you. I have these same side cutters without the ring that I have used for 15 years which is why I wanted these. I was surprised to find they are exactly the same tool today as they were then except for the ring attached to the handle. The ring is a nice feature when you are climbing a ladder to work no more worries about dropping your tool when it is attached to your belt. Only issue was the ring had a burr on it which would stick your hand sometimes but it was an easy fix I removed the ring and filed the burr down.

I had an inexpensive tool similar to this, that finally gave out.I replaced it with this one, and it is a world of difference.Klein tools – Made in USA and established in 1857! This is a heavy duty tool that should last a generation. It comes with the safety ring so you can tether it to yourself if you are working on a ladder.I have only used it a few times, but this thing cuts like a dream, and no issues at all with typical household wiring.

Great quality Klein side cutter and this added feature of a ring on the handle to attach a lanyard is just what I would expect from a company that builds such quality. I have never worn out a Klein tool only loose them. With this added feature I attach it to the tool pouch and don’t have to worry anymore about dropping it. Just the safety factor alone to protect those that maybe working below you having a tool that attaches to a lanyard is enough reason to change out my old set of Klein’s.

Klein tools, exceptional quality for apprentice, journeyman and master electricians or hvac technicians as well as home owners that want quality made tools. This particular one has a tether ring for those times you are high up in elevation whether at work in a high bay area or homeowner that is high up and don’t want to drop their tools. This make it safe for the tool as well as for anything or anyone below. I used this tool at home for some home wiring and it gripped the wire well for the twist. Good feel with the rubber grip and the wire cutters made the cuts clean and easy. I liked the cross hatched jaws that provided nice grip hold on the wires. Also like many new plier design this also has a high leverage jaw joint. (see pics)I compared it to my fat max plier (see pics) that I have been using and even thought it had very similar design, I could see that the knurl crosshatched jaws of the Stanely tool was already wearing down whereas there was no such effect on the Klein Tools jaws. I notice that in comparison with my used Stanley Fax Max plier that the handle grips were much bulkier whereas the Klein tools plier was more of the standard rubberized dipped plastic grip which is slimmer to use for those areas or situations that are tight or confined. Overall another exceptional Klein Tools product that will last for years of use and dependability for the price point of Klein Tools. Just don’t lose them at the jobsite or neighbors.

My Father once told me that if you buy quality tools and take care of them, they will be there when you need them. These side cutters from Klein fit that statement to a T. I got these to replace my original pair of Klein side cutters……the ones I handed down to my son. That original pair is nearly 40 years old, look a little worse for wear, but still work like they should.

This is a really heavy duty side cutter pliers. I tested it by cutting a nail and it did that without any problems, but I wouldn’t recommend it as nails are a lot harder than the copper or aluminum cable this tool is meant to cut. I also tested it on three wire cable and it cut it very easily. I also tried cutting nylon rope as I find it difficult to get a good clean cut using a utility knife. I found that it makes a much cleaner cut on nylon rope that a knife does. The ring is a real nice feature as you can tether the tool to you so it doesn’t get away from you and fall on something. Also, it makes it very convenient to locate and use the tool if you are working on a ladder.This is a very durable tool and should last a life time.

I like using lineman pliers. They are sure grip and are versatile. You can use them for just about any application.This pliers has a incredible strength and ability to cut thick thick material. I am confident that the material being cut will cut before the handles will break. They are that strong. The grips are comfortable. I like Klein tools and have many of them. Great set of linemans pliers for high up utility work use. As always, Klein is the go to tools for any industrial electrical work and these keep that legacy going. Cutter is still sharp after a weeks work of work on the job site and wearing in nicely and getting smoother to operate by each passing day. The ring attachment works great for tying a lanyard to as not loose the tool when working high up jobs. Grips are typical Klein plastic dip but are both tough and durable. Highly recommend.

I had the great opportunity to evaluate these fine side cutters. Ever been in a bucket or on a ladder and drop you cutters? These have a large ring for lanyard use so if you do drop it it only goes so far and is retrievable I found another use and that is on my boat. No more tools at the bottom of the lake.. This is Klein brand and that is USA MADE quality. Handles feel good and all parts match for precise applications.The leverage on these makes all day use easy.
