These 7-inch Klein Tool Diagonal Cutting pliers are awesome. Just the right size. They are sharp making it easy to cut heavy gauge wire with ease. High quality diagonal pliers with insulated grips for electrical use. They are very sharp and can be used easily to cut electrical wire up to 8 gauge. Although I have not tried to cut number 6 gauge wire I would not recommend because to 7 inch length of the handles would not provide enough leverage. I would recommend these diagonal pliers to anyone that really needs a high quality pliers.

Two things pretty much says it all regarding this tool. Made in the U.S.A. and Klein tool company. After using substandard cutting/diagonal pliers for most of my life I decided to get my monies worth and spend the extra bucks for top quality. These Klein brand 7 inch diagonal pliers are tough, sharp and ready to cut through wire up toand including at least a 12 gauge diameter wire without any effort. Home Depot sells Klein brand tools exclusively and provides a lifetime warranty for as long as you, the original purchaser of this item and has in their possesion the receipt they received upon purchasing them. I’ve had different brands of wire cutters they’re called in the industry and these are far better than any competitor brands. The cutting edge alone is as sharp as any pairing knife I’ve used. So get out there and get these pliers. You won’t be disappointed.

I had deformed (bent the handle) my old “value priced” 6″ diagonal cutters. I selected these Klein cutters as replacement because of the Klein reputation for building quality tools.I use diagonal cutters primarily for electrical work – cutting romex wire and striping the insulation on the wire ends.These Kleins are perfect for the task; a tightly fitted hinge pin but doesn’t make the cutter hard to operate, a good no gap cutting edge on the nose cuts through 12/2 with ground romex in one step. 10/2 wire requires a little more of a “nibbling” to cut through but the Kleins maintain their shape even under hard pressure.The diagonal taper is great for working in tight spots and for cutting romex sheath without cutting the conductor.Very comfortable tool in-hand and I love the plastic dip handles that don’t slip off the tool.A worthy tool for the diy and the professional.

This is a real nice set of cutting pliers. Klein has produced a set of pliers here that are comfortable in the hand and easy to use. The pliers are sharp and cut through wires and small diameter metals very easily. I have made multiple cuts with these things and the don’t appear to have dulled any or have any damage to the cutting surface. I like that the pliers handles stay together after multiple uses yet are still easy to open and close. The handle is very comfortable in the hand and nice contour to the handle makes cutting easy. Additionally, the rubber jackets on the handles make it easy to hold onto the handle and not have fear they might slip or rotate in your hand when attempting a cut. The whole pliers piece appears to be made of quality material. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to spend a little more for a product that they can use for the rest of their life.
