   These are a wonderful set of utility “nips” to have around. They’re real purpose is trimming copper wire to length, and they do an excellent job at that, but my favorite use for them is trimming zip ties to length. They fit into the tight spaces and cut close to the tie without risk of nicking the wire. I do a lot of low voltage and networking work and almost everything you do there is snugged and prettied up with zip ties. The spring is excellent and provides just enough resistance and bounce back. The handles are a little on the small side but it also means they fit in a back pocket pretty nicely, which means I always have these on hand.

   Klein Tools 4 in. Electronics Midget Diagonal Cutting Pliers with Pointed Nose and Extra Narrow JawsMany years ago I worked in a guitar and electronics repair shop. One of the guys had a pair of these little cutting pliers he left out on the bench so I could use them too. These Klein pliers look exactly like them. These are perfect for snipping off small gauge wires, trimming off soldiered joints, cutting off resistors etc. any small place where you need a clean cut. These are tiny and light weight, but heavy duty, professional grade sharp cutting pliers that are forged steel, precision machined, hardened, and carefully tempered for maximum strength and made in the good old U.S.A. The blue color coded handles are comfortable in my large hands even though the handles are small in size. I usually grasp the handles between my first 3 fingers and thumb at the top knuckle joints of my hand. The spring loaded jaws keeps the plier handles there between cuts and the hot riveted hinge joint makes for no sideways flexing and always a smooth action. These are the real deal in Midget Diagonal Cutting Pliers, I love them! Klein’s warranty covers hand tools for “the normal life of the product” (See Klein website for details)

   I find this this really excellent Klein Tools Midget Diagonal Cutter to be very convenient for completing many homeowner tasks, like replacing an old wall outlet, upgrading an outlet to GFCI protection, or installing an outdoor motion detector. It has a place not only in the workshop, but also in the kitchen “go to” drawer, like scissors, glue and tape, because the whole family will have uses for it. The compact size, bulldog class strength and durability of it is perfect for so many other jobs like installing picture frame wire, binding artificial flower creations and countless other hobby and craft related jobs that the whole family will enjoy using it for. Typical of the job rated Klein Tools I have experience with, both in standard size and miniature size, this meticulously crafted Diagonal Cutting Plier with its soft blue plastic coated grips is designed and built with user satisfaction as priority one. it will not let you down. It is a pleasure to own and to use.

   Very good quality midget diagonal cutting pliers. They have a pointed noise and extra narrow jaws. The pliers are also spring loaded and fairly wide to hold until you compress them a little. They are a quality cutting plier. The cutting pliers work well. With 4 inch length, it makes cutting wires a breeze in tight spaces – see photo. You can’t go wrong with these. I have used Klein tools in the past and they appear to last a long time.

   Model #D259-4CThese Klein 4 in. Electronics Midget Diagonal Cutting Pliers with Pointed Nose and Extra Narrow Jaws are precision made in the USA. The design of the jaws and the compact size make them quite handy for your electronics and miniature projects. The jaws are easy to fit into tight places and make precise cuts when working on electronics projects. I tried them out on one of my Pi SmartCar projects and was quite impressed. Working with them is a delight. They open quite wide for miniatures and are spring loaded. The jaws align and close perfectly demonstrating that high quality I’ve learned to associate with the Klein’s brand. The blue handle grips are comfortable in your hand and provide a secure grip. The package is re-closable and I guess you could use it to store and identify your Klein Midget tools if you wanted to. These are a really nice, precise set of Midget Diagonal Cutting Pliers. If you work on electronic projects or miniature devices you know you need one of these.
