Klein tools have been made in the USA since 1857 and are well known for their electrical tools, so it should be no surprise they make a quality electrically insulated 10 inch pump pliers that are equally ideal for home DYI or an electrical lineman. The dual layer orange-over-white insulation is rated at 1000 volts, is flame retardant and feature integral guards that help prevent hand contact with conductive parts. It has a maximum jaw capacity of 1-3/4 inches. It’s forged steel and has a tension-loaded joint that reduces handle wobble. They are individually tested to exceed insulation ratings. These pliers are not cheap but are a good choice if you’re looking for a quality tool that may save your life, could last for generations, and have lifetime warranty on material defects and workmanship for the normal life of the product.

This is a big, very heavy and impressive Pump Plier. This over-built top quality Klein tool is insulated to a certified rating of 1,000 volts, making it a must have for the electrical trades who might confidently put it to that level of electrical stress. But I see it as a cross-over tool that I will appreciate having in my workshop. I have an Artesian well on my property with an electrically operated jet pump and a pressurized storage tank in the cellar. I also have a Water lily and Goldfish breeding Pond with buried wire powering pumps, waterfalls, lights and filters. More than once I have had the need to torque a pump bolt or a Stainless Steel water line connection, and there is always that moment of hesitation standing on a sometimes damp concrete floor or the muddy edge of a pond and taking the leap of faith that is the act of reaching out to it with a standard steel slip-joint plier or a wrench. Peace of mind is now mine. I cannot imagine what it would take to over-torque and break this monster, certainly more than I can muster up with muscle power. Even as a heavy duty Klein electrical trades tool, where you expect serious beef, it looks like you could disassemble Fort Knox with it. This is a layered insulation process, resulting in a very strong bond with the hand grips and with the molded, raised “Klein Tools” logo very prominent on both handles, a solid grip even with a pair of Lineman’s Gloves is a sure thing. The deep, saw-tooth surfaces of the jaws promise a rock solid bite. The quality is beyond excellent, it is a good looking tool, and it is a joy to use.

Klein Tools is still in the business of making excellent tools for people who use them to make a living and want good solid made in America tools. These insulated pump pliers are perhaps the best examples of this rugged tool construction I have seen for a good long while. Max opening is 1 3/4″ and the insulation on the handles is rated for 1000 volts. I do not think very many of these will be subjected to high voltage but the grip is very comfortable to hold on to. It’s a good tool.

These pliers are heady duty. The teeth in the jaws must be of hardened steel. They grip very well and don’t round off like my old pliers. By far a much better quality. I like the thick plastic grips, they help my old hands apply more pressure. Also the grips have large tangs to keep your hands protected. They are insulated and are a nice bright orange. A good quality product made in the USA.

Klein set the standard for electricians tools. Klein tools are made in USA and it doesn’t get any better than that. When I was an electrician all of my tools were Klein. These 10-in insulated pump pliers are very well made. They are not just insulated, they are double insulated and that offers protection up to a thousand volts. These tools can save your life.

Klein makes great tools and these insulated 10in pump pliers are no exception. Insulated against electric shock rated to 1000V with comfy handles, guards to prevent contact with the head, made of forged steel and the jaws open wide with sharp teeth for a variety of general uses. This is geared toward electricians but obviously many other trades can use it with effectiveness. Made in the USA, five stars!

These insulated pliers is a great tool to have in a tool box. What I like about these pliers are the fact how they fit in my hand and you have total control of these pliers as you use them. I have had these pliers about a week. These pliers meet and exceed all expectation and it is an great added addition to tools that work for you. Construction of these pliers are great.

These pliers are tuff. The quality is excellent. These pliers replaced another brand that had problems with weak gripping teeth. The steel must be harder than my old pliers. The slip joints are well fitted and slide easy with no extra play. I like the molded insulated handles the best. As I get older this is a must have to work with comfort. The tangs on the handles are a nice feature and the orange color helps them stand out. These made in the USA tools are excellent quality.

This is a nice pair of pliers to use when insulation of tools is required. What I like about this pair us the double layer insulation. It’s not a cheap dipped kind. If the outer layer is compromised you will see an inner white layer. My Nephew, an Electrician’s Apprentice, gave me a list of tools and I chose these because of insulation and 1000v rating. Thinking he will be very happy with this tool. Plus it’s made in the U.S.A.

Klein makes superior tools, and this is one of them, Insulated Pump Pliers and locked in clamps. The molded handles provide great insulation and exceeds standards for this type of tool. The jaw opening can reach a max of 1 3/4″, so it can handle all of my plumbing needs, even the water on/off valve at the front of my home. It seems to adjust very easily to larger or smaller jaw openings and the teeth are design for a sure grip. Forged steel should make this last a life time! It is now my favorite plumbers wrench.
