This high quality universal wrench easily converts from a pipe wrench to a adjustable with a surprising strong grip. As a pipe or an adjustable wrench, it adjusts easily for pipes up to 1.5″. The wrench works great for under sink plumbing and other tight access areas. By simply reversing the bottom jaw, it becomes an adjustable wrench with both standard and metric jaw opening size indicator. The wrench is very well made and has a very smooth linear jaw opening adjustment. The handle incorporates a vinyl electrical safety insulation barrier that also provides a great grip and feel. This wrench is one of my must-have hand tools for plumbing and sprinkler system installation and repairs.

The Reversible Jaw/Adjustable Pipe Wrench, 10 in. is a very well made tool. Could be very helpful during the installation and or assembly of small bore threaded piping (steel or pvc/like), in the shop or in the field.When installing threaded piping two wrenches are required, a pipe wrench (for pipe, pipe fittings and some valves) and an adjustable wrench (for some valves and the bolts and nuts on flanged connections).

QUALITY, VERSATILE TOOL— The 10″ Klein Tools Reversible Jaw/Adjustable Pipe Wrench is an outstanding adjustable wrench which has the capacity to be a pipe wrench for most situations. The all-important feature to using it either way is that the jaw is reversible. If you don’t have the jaw in the proper position, it will not work for the intended purpose. As you can see from the photo, it does not work as an adjustable wrench if the jaw is positioned for a pipe wrench. It works well when the jaw is positioned correctly. The jaw opens to an incredible 1 3/8 inches. It works well as a pipe wrench when the jaw is properly positioned. It solidly grips the pipe – no slipping. The markings specifying the jaw opening are a plus – one side has SAE and the other side has metric. Those markings are also useful to convert from one measuring system to the other independent of using it as a wrench. The utility of the horizontal arrow (see the photo) on the jaw is not obvious. The handle is encased in a blue plastic coating which makes it easier to handle. The wrench has a solid feel to it. One downside of it being reversible is that the adjustment mechanism (since it has to go in two directions) protrudes too far to use in tight places (such as plumbing applications). It has an easy opening package. Tip of the hat to the Klein designers for that. So many tools today make it a struggle to open the plastic packaging. It is made in Spain.

What a excellent idea. I have been in situations where you start out with one tool then realize you need the other. Now you can have the ideal tool just by reversing the jaw. The tool is sturdy, well made and the handle is coated with a rubberized surface, making the tool comfortable in the hand and easy to use. The jaw opens to a full 1-1/2″ to allow for larger nuts or pipes. I am impressed and recommend this product to both amateur and pro alike.
