Great tool too bad that the fist 4 the handle is small.

I’ve been using the little hex sets for years, you know the ones that are all bundled together like a swiss army knife, or the pile of wrenches in a bag. I’ve always wanted to have a nice set like this, and let me tell you, I didn’t know how worth it it would be! first of all having the stand that you can mount horizontal or vertically somewhere makes a huge difference. They are clearly marked with big numbers so you can see at a glance what size you’re getting. They are strong and easy to use. I wish I had gotten these sooner.

EXTRA TORQUE is BENEFICIAL — The 9″ length of these Klein metric hex keys provides greater torque and makes it easier to access hard to reach places than most other hex keys. They have a hex end, not a ball end. Each wrench has two hex heads: one on the long 9″ side and a shorter one of a few inches at a 90 degree offset as part of the handle. The range of the sizes makes them useful for most applications. They are easy to use and the comfort-grip T-handle allows considerable torque when tightening or removing a hex screw. Unless you need the longer size, the 6″ wrenches may be more convenient. Although the set comes with a stand, it is not useful for mounting on a wall even though the box says that is possible. Mounting the stand on a horizontal surface works but requires considerable space. The sizes are painted on the top. They are also laser-etched into the shaft but these are difficult to read. These wrenches are made in Slovenia.

Klein’s metric journeyman T-Handle Set (8-Piece) is a very well made product. The heat treated ends are tough and very exact in their sizing. The soft grip is comfortable. I also like the long and short shaft options on these T-handles. The fact that these are marked makes it easier to find the size you need versus digging thru a drawer of various allen wrenches. The wall rack is a nice touch.

Awhile back, I had a chance to try one of these Klein Tools Journeyman Allen head wrenches. I fell in love instantly, and said then I’d love to have a full T-Handle set. I got this Klein Tools Metric Journeyman T-Handle Set (8-Piece), and it is very, very nice! With 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm sizes, it can handle most of my needs. I do a lot of firearms gunsmithing, and many gun accessories come with Allen-head bolts. I always find myself hunting through a drawer of regular Allen-head wrenches, mostly unmarked, trying to find just the right size for my needs. With this set from Klein, that problem is solved! I love the long shafts and handles, and even the short shafts come in handy as well. Whomever designed these is a genius! Thanks Klein, and Home Depot!

Product: Klein Metric Journeyman T-Handle Set (8-Piece)/Country of Origin: Slovenia/////This T-handle set by Klein is sturdy and exemplifies Klein’s good name. The blade passes through the comfortable-to-hold handle and they’re even marked for easy identification. Both tips are oxide coated and chamfered for a strong, long-lasting finish and easy insertion. The set comes with a marked metal stand that can be mounted in a variety ow ways or just left as a free-standing organizer. I’m as satisfied with this Klein product as I’ve ever been with any Klein product that I’ve ever owned.

This is a review of Klein’s 9-piece [8 wrenches and a stand] Metric T-handle Hex set #JTH98M.The stand: lightweight steel bent into an “S”; when standing on a table [which won’t be very often], the wrenches stand erect in their respective holes with the size label facing forward; when mounted to a wall [most often] with the mounting slots provided, the wrenches will protrude 11″ from the wall, the label will be facing downward and the flimsy steel “S” will “boing”. However, you will see the sizes clearly marked on the handles. The wrenches: 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 8.0, and 10.0mm; practically speaking, you should have a set from 1.5 to 5.0 on 0.5 increments and another set from 6.0 to 10.0 in 1.0 increments. In addition to the typical “T”, a shorter, second hex comes off the handle, I guess for getting into tight spaces. When using the ‘sidebar’ wrench, you’re going to want to use the 9″ extension as the lever … don’t! … you might not destroy the 10 mm wrench, but you will destroy the finer wrenches and probably put a hurt on the mid-wrenches.I think the set might be suited to ‘special needs’ users, but it’s awkward for the typical mechanic.

Becoming a Klein Fan! Don’t know why they call this a journeyman set, but I did need a metric T-Handle hex set and this fit my tools perfectly. The set is a bit longer than your regular T-Handle set, they have an excellent finish and the sizes are accurate (no play when inserted into hex head bolts). Easy and quick to identify the size clearly marked on the top of the handle and even on the tool itself. Don’t be misled by the black tips, it is not magnetized. The length does reduce the torque efficiency of the long end in the smaller sizes but there are no issues in the short end. Overall a great addition to the toolbox and the clearly marked storage rack is also great. Yes, I highly recommend this product.

This set is truly worthy of professional status. The 10-piece set of wrenches also includes a stand to keep them organized. The long portion on all the wrenches is 9-inches, while the short length protruding from one end of the T-handle varies from 1/2-inch to almost 1-inch for the two larger sizes. The T-handles on the 2, 2.5, 3 and 4 mm wrenches are approximately 2-3/8″ not including the hex tips. The T-handles on the 5 and 6 mm wrenches are 3-1/8″ and the 8 and 10 mm wrench handles are 3-7/8″ wide. The sizes are well-marked on the top of the T-handle and the label appears to be durable. The handles are well-matched to the size of the hex, comfortable to grip and to control the force being applied. The extended reach of 9-inch length allows one to work around obstacles often encountered when using socket head bolts and set screws. I found that they eliminate the need to insert the wrench, make a half-turn, remove the wrench and slowly repeat the process. The long length really speeds up the process.I have not figured out the mounting intent for the stand. There are keyholes for bolts or screws heads in the “bottom” of the stand but I was not sure whether these were for mounting on a wall with the handles projecting straight out, or for mounting on a horizontal surface. Since the wrenches are top-heavy when inserted into the 3-inch high stand, they need to be secured to something for stability. I opted for drilling new holes in the “back” of the stand and attaching them to the slatwall above my work bench using a one-inch thick X 3-1/2″ by 7-1/2″ Azek “spacer” painted black. The stand needs to be spaced off the wall to allow the handles to clear the wall when inserted. You also need about 4-inches of clearance above the T-handle to allow the wrenches to be comfortably inserted into the stand. On a sidenote, this is the first tool I have owned that is made in Slovenia!

And now in metric sizes, an awesome set of hexagonal wrenches!I can’t fault these in any way. They are strong, comfortable to use, well marked, and versatile. They have a blue color which quickly differentiates them from the red colored SAE set. They are very nice and long (9 inches) and if you need them short, you can use the stubby end too. Each one is laser marked with its size, but the size is also very clearly marked on the handle. You get these sizes:2.0mm2.5mm3.0mm4.0mm5.0mm6.0mm8.0mm10.0mmEach tool also has a hole onto which a lanyard could be attached if you are working somewhere where dropping a tool would be bad news.In addition, they come with a metal holder than can be bolted onto a horizontal surface. Note that the handles need some room behind the metal holder, so you will need to leave some space between the wall behind them when you mount the metal holder.Highly recommended!Made in Slovenia.

Good investment. Klein tools are professional grade and to me worth the few extra bucks.8 piece metric kit includes some very common sizes and stand helps organize. Extra long blade that makes almost anything reachable. High quality steel holds up under significant torque without twisting. Soft area on handle is comfortable and improves grip. Should last a lifetime with proper care.
