Got these strippers sent to me by klein to get an honest review about them and when I say Made in USA you know the quality it there! They are a super convenient multi tool and paired with a couple of drivers you could wire up a whole panel! I love the crimping feature since I do low voltage work everyday installing Generators so its sweet not having to bring out my old crimpers. The kurve grips makes it real easy on the hand especially when you are working in a panel all day! Highly recommend these to and electrician in any field since the strip com. Wire perfectly!

So I have been using these for a couple of weeks now and I am ready to offer a review. These pliers are very useful. I work in systems and electrical maintenance so it is great to have multiple tools in one and these meet the mark. They are well made and strong I have tested every feature they offer and everything works well. The only thing that I can find that is a con is the stripper section is a bit thick and that makes it slightly more difficult to line up the right size. I find that to be a minor issue though and these have earned a permanent position in my tool pouch.

As with all kline tools, top notch. Very comfortable grip and curved hande that fits in my hand well and gives me good control. The one thing it is missing is a place to create a hook in the wire for doing house wiring. Not a big deal as I can kind of use the square end. The screw cut off works well and a great feature to trim screws when needed. The wire cutter works really well, nice and sharp plus the correct size to not nick the wire which creates a weak spot that the wire can break.

This is a great tool for any kind of wiring. This tool eliminates having multiple tools because of the strippers, crimpers, cutters, and flat section on top to twist wires together. This just allowed me to get rid of some tools when doing outlets and lights. this is truly a terrific tool. The grip is comfortable and the pliers are durable and made in the USA

The strippers are good at all aspect of electrical. From making up light to making up motors these are hands-down pretty great

They are very easy to use and quite comfortable. I would like a spring assisted opener like it’s counterpart but I do like the crimper that took it’s place. The pliers have a very nice grip. Over all, very pleased.

Hands down best all in one tool. Firm feel with percussion cuts. I won’t be caught without it.

Klein Tools has provided me with free product and additional incentives to provide an honest review of this product. They sounded like a great idea so I was a but curious to see how these would perform. They are the typical rock solid quality you expect from a brand like Klein. The cutters handle 1/8 stainless steel cable no problem. It’s nice having a tool that can handle so many tasks effectively. Some heavy duty strippers fail miserably when it comes to twisting wires but this takes care of things so you can move on. Recommend having one in your bag. #kleintools #kleincrusaders

SUMMARY: A good general-purpose wire working tool.BACKGROUND: I have a drawer full of pliers and cutters, but the features of the Klein-Kurve Heavy-Duty got my attention.FIT AND FINISH: I have several Klein tools and this has the same high quality fit and finish as the others.FEATURES: From the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate.• Klein’s Heavy-Duty Wire Stripper/Crimper is built with the durability of pliers, the sharpness and precision of a wire stripper and an integrated crimper. o This is like a cross between a set of lineman’s pliers and a wire stripper.• This American-made tool provides durable wire cutting, stripping, crimping and twisting plus bolt shearing in one tool. o Shears 6x and 8x bolts.• Four times (4X) stronger than traditional Klein wire strippers. • Wire Stripper with six stripping holes for 8-18 AWG solid and 10-20 AWG stranded wireo The stripper works well, but the markings are hard to read.• Side cut design features longer knives for more cuttingo This is a diagonal jaw cutter which will leave a small chisel-like end on the wire. On bigger wires this can be a snag or cut hazard.• Crimps non-insulated connectors, lugs and terminals for 10–20 AWG stranded wireo It crimped several 16/14 gauge connectors with no problem. The crimp post is square cornered, so it won’t do insulated connectors. Also, the narrow width of the crimper post does deform the connectors slightly.• Knurled jaw for twisting, grabbing and looping wireo The pliers end of this is much more like my lineman’s pliers. At ½” wide and 5/8” long they much heavier duty than any of my other wire stripper pliers.• Twists up to three wires at a timeo The ½” jaws can easily grip three 12 gauge wires.• High leverage design for improved performanceo The jaws are almost 3” long, but with a handle that’s less than 6” long I don’t consider this an extremely high leverage design.• Klein-Kurve® comfort grip handles for reduced hand fatigueo The handles do feel good in my hand, the plastic grips feel firmly attached to the handle tangs.• Induction hardened cutting knives for long lifeo I would expect this feature on any quality wire cutter. I guess the point is induction hardening.• Hot-riveted joint ensures smooth action and no handle wobbleo The joint is nice and tight and I expect it will remain that way for a long time.OPERATION: I made several crimp connections cutting the wire, stripping it, and crimping the connectors. It performed well. I did notice that the thicker handle and body, with the cutter blades in the middle of the body did shroud the view of the wire sticking out of the stripper. I found I had to turn the tool to see exactly how much wire was sticking out. But I did discover that for most connectors, pushing enough wire out to be flush with the side of the body was the right distance for stripping insulation for a crimp connector.SUMMARY: A welcome addition to my Klein tool collection. At home in my electrician’s backpack.PROS: Heavy dutyCONS: Difficult to see wire stripper markings. Thickness of handle makes seeing wire in strippers more difficult. Crimper deforms connectors slightly.

These are a handy tool to have. I got them because of the ability to cut off common screws that you use while doing electrical work and that part works real well. The cutting part is a pincher style cut, which leaves the wire sum what munched on the end, I prefer the bypass type cut the leaves a cleaner cut. The crimper part is behind the pivot point so it’s hard to get enough leverage to get a proper crimp, but using both hands, you can get it done. It has a nice pliers part that is much better than most stripper pliers. Overall, if I was headed into the attic to do some repair work on electrical, I would grab these because of all the jobs you could do with the one tool.

As this Klein Heavy-Duty Wire Stripper/Crimper has many useful Features, I will tell of only 3 that offer me an Advantage and a Benefit over other tools. Oh, and ever over a Klein Tool. It is called a F.A.B. One Feature that gives an Advantage is the crimper shown in photo #1 below. The Advantage of having only one tool to use eliminates the need to carry a crimper and the Benefit is not having to look for a crimper and putting down one tool to pick up another tool. This is true of the next two Features with Advantages and Benefits. The bolt shearing holes see photo #2 also eliminates the need to carry another tool on the job and the grips have the shape of my hand grip exerciser in photo #4 to fit the hand and provide the grip to do the job easily. And, the third F.A.B. is that it replaces my old Klein stripper/cutter see photo #3. The new Klein Tool replaced three tools making less items I carry on the job. I hope this helped you.

Klein Tools Klein-Kurve Heavy-Duty Wire Stripper CrimperThe first thing I liked was now being able to use just one tool to strip wires and twist up to three wires together. My current stripper tool didn’t have both and I had to also carry my electrician’s side cutting pliers for twisting wires together and cable cuts. This pro grade, forged Klein model is claimed to be 4x’s as strong as their traditional model and cuts both 8 to18 AWG solid and 10 to 20 AWG stranded wire and crimps non insulated connectors on 10-20 AWG stranded. It will also shear 6-32 and 8-32 threaded bolts to length. I used the side cutters to cut off 12/2 solid Romex cable W/G wire and with a bit of extra force, it cut clean and comfortable with the soft grip handles. A quality tool that should last me forever. Made in America by Klein Tools.

Using everyday to install commercial lighting having six sizes make it perfect when installing led lighting. Stips the twelve gauge wire and the twists is tight and then strips the sixteen gauge wire leads. Very comfortable

I have used this tool daily for about 1 month now. Our company does electrical and hvac install and troubleshooting. I head into the customers location carrying only my meter, my Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver, and this Klein Kurve heavy duty stripper. This tool has replaced my linesman pliers, my wire strippers, my crimpers, and my long nose pliers. Greatly reducing the weight of my service bag. Most importantly, it does the job of all those tools equally as well, if not better. A lot of tool manufacturers attempt to make a multifunction tool, but most are not very good at it. You’re usually left with a lot of empty promises and a tool that rarely gets used. That is never the case with Klein. I love my Klein Kurve heavy duty strippers and crimper tool. It cuts heavy wire with ease, trims bolts like butter, makes perfect crimps, strips wire effortlessly, and has no problem reaching in the back of a furnace cabinet or junction box to grab a part that has fallen out of reach. Best of all, this one tool can also twist a bundle of wires and make a perfect pig tail. I highly recommend this tool!

Much more substantial than the light weight and lower cost ones. I have worm out two of the lighter weight ones and I am only a DIYer. This one should last longer.

This Klein-Kurve Heavy-Duty Wire Stripper Crimper is a sturdy tool yet compact enough to fit in the side pocket of my carpenter pants. It is not bulky and strong enough to get most household wiring jobs done with ease. It has 6 slots to strip solid or stranded wires up to 8 AWG! It has a convenient crimper which works well with stranded wire, two holes for forming wire for screw installation, pliers for twisting wires and a wire cutter that works well with the aforementioned AWG classifications. I have the more bulky lineman pliers but have found this more compact version with the curve feature to reduce fatigue while giving the needed work to get through the tasks. Its design also makes it easier to work in small spaces while the insulated handles don’t slip and keeps you safe. Great product!

Well, I have a couple strippers already but I still always seem to find myself looking for a pair as they stay spread between work and home and different bags. The ones I had are the flat style that do stripping and nothing else. I also had one of those that grabs and strips the wire in one motion. It’s OK. These others work fine and I have tended to stay away from the multi-purpose ones. But when I saw these from Klein I knew they would be top quality and sure enough they are. They are built with good precision. They are definitely heavier than my other strippers. The pliers on these are no joke and are very sturdy and well designed. The same goes for the built-in crimper. It’s not some junky little afterthought. It is a precision crimper in a common size that is made well enough to yield a good crimp. And the cutters are just like using a dedicated wire cutter. And the wire cutters you slip a wire through are solid and will nip a wire right off cleanly. I’d not really thought you could do a lot to improve on a regular old wire stripper which is something I use a lot. But I was wrong. But sometimes its good to be wrong if it means you’ve ended up with a better tool in your hand. I found these easy to use and the cushioned grips are nice. If you have a lot of wires to strip like when you are building a wiring harness for instance your hands will thank you for those well cushioned grips. And hey. Made in the USA. That might be one of the best features. It’s sure a rare one.

This tool is a great quality tool like everything else Klein makes. It feels hefty in my hand and I can tell it will last a long time. I have no complaints as all the features work great. I’ve been using the wire cutter and stripper features the most. I really like the grip on the handles and the colors. I might have to buy a pair for my dad, he was pretty envious when I got them.
