I only use Klein strippers, and these kept the high standard Klein always delivers. The wire cutters/strippers were sharp just as any other Klein strippers or diagonal cutters.I would recommend these to anyone who works in the field of electricity, both high and low voltage.

For years I was using wire snips to strip wires. I finally broke down and got one of these and what a difference! First, the cutting edge is good and sharp and there’s no separation between the two blades that happens with stamped tools. Next, the stripping holes are also sharp but don’t go through the metal part of the wire and don’t strip off any of the metal, with it. The large head allows you to twist up to three sets of wires and does so with ease. The handles are comfortable and the grips don’t slide off, again, like cheaper tools. You can cut your wire, strip it and twist all with one tool and without having to set it down. This is a professional tool and it’s bade in the USA!

Klein Tools has provided me with free product and additional incentives to provide an honest review of this product. Strips with ease and cuts bolts and wire like butter. Welcome addition to my everyday carry.

I am slowly replacing my budget tools with better made tools as I continue with home renovation projects. These wire strippers are great and I’m very happy I added them to my collection. I am very impressed with the quality, they operate smoothly and cut wires very well. The flat ends work well for twisting wires together and provide enough grip to pull/arrange insulated wires without damaging the wire insulation. I also use the flat end for tightening wire nuts. If I’m cutting Romex 12/2 or 12/3 I will still opt for larger, lineman pliers but for individual wire cutting, these are great.

This is a solid pair of strippers that has a crimper on it (that I have yet to use), bolt cutters for 8-32 to 6-32 screws. Really sharp stripping edges and it fixed the issue that the heavy duty strippers had (cutting multiple conductors at once). I used these all day and suffered no hand fatigue (I wish i could say the same the thing for my feet after standing on a ladder all day!) These are definitely designed for the professional and they are made in the USA! Go ahead and get them you wont regret it.

The Klein-Kurve Wire Stripper/Crimper. The wire stripper and wire cutter worked great and I was impressed by how easily it cut through the 6-32 and 8-32 screws. Definitely happy with

Got this pliers as a test one from Klein Tools. Same great quality. Nice having the the different size striper. But I enjoy my Klein Tools 8 in. Hybrid Pliers with Crimper.

Much more substantial than the light weight and lower cost ones. I have worm out two of the lighter weight ones and I am only a DIYer. This one should last longer.

The Klein Tools Kurve Heavy-duty Wire Stripper crimper is a must have tool for all electrians who what comfort while stripping wire, or having to crimp wire. This would make a great gift for someone getting in the trades. This tool is also a great tool for doing HVAC work. The wire stripper feels good in the hands which means the person who is using it not get cranky.

This American-made, professional level tool from Klein combines durable wire cutting, stripping and twisting plus screw shearing into one lightweight (10 oz.), compact design. I like that the textured curved grip allows me increased leverage while still being comfortable for my hand. The earlier spring assist, self-opening handle design (K12055) is now upgraded to allow you to crimp lugs, terminals and non-insulated connectors for 10-20 AWG stranded wire. Despite the lack of a spring assist, this Klein Wire Stripper/Crimper is easy to open and close just by changing your grip; just put your ring or index finger between the handles and you’ll have all the control you need. As mentioned earlier, this tool cuts 6-32 and 8-32 brass or aluminum screws easily although I would not try it with steel screws, just to preserve the sharpness of the cut.

Excellent multi-tool! Lighter than what you’d expect from anything that’s heavy duty! Definitely one you must have!

These are awesome they feel good in hand, are comfortable & work just as good as using traditional strippers & 9’s. They eliminate the need to carry around multiple tools & are half the weight of 9’s. They work great as designed & stated on the package. Twisting up 2-3 wires (standard tap) is a breeze and the motion feels the same to me with this style of handle as the traditional 9’s. I like that they have a heavy duty side cutter Instead of the snip style cutter usually found on strippers. I would use 9’s if twisting up 4 or more wires at a time as they do have a larger head griping area to accommodate more wires.

For anyone who hates carrying tools that have single uses these are Klein’s new Klein Kurve stripper crimpers. These things are great it took a little bit to break them in but the versatility of them is great I can strip twist cut and crimp with the same tool and not take up anymore space in my pouch then a regular pair of lineman’s pliers these do not have a spring but hardly noticeable with how well these operate 4.5 stars all the way would give 5 if they could find a place to fit a spring.

I have a few other wire strippers and crimpers, but nothing as rugged as this Klein-Kurve model. I’ve attached pictures comparing it to a similar Gardner-Bender tool I have, and you can see the difference in the jaw size and thickness of the cutting surfaces. The bolt cutter section is similarly rugged and cleanly cuts mild steel bolts in the supported sizes. The “Klein-Kurve” handle also makes it easier to apply pressure to the strippers – especially handy when crimping or using the bolt cutters.

This review is for Klein Tools Klein-Kurve heavy-duty wire stripper/Crimper, Model K12065CR. This tool strips solid conductors of 8-18 AWG and stranded conductors of 10-20 AWG. It crimps for 10-20 AWG non-insulated connectors. This is a USA-made tool. The tool is great for right-handed use, the curved handle shape combined with a soft grip covering making it comfortable to use, although it works OK using my left hand as well. Its cutters are all very sharp and should hold their cutting edges well because of the induction hardening provided. The large nose with serrated jaws facilitates great grip for wire twisting, even for stiff single-strand multiple conductors, in that way replacing my electrician pliers. This tool cuts both wires and electrical screws in a snap. It has slots specifically for cutting 6-32 and 8-32 screws encountered frequently in electrical applications. One issue that, in my opinion, could be improved upon are the markings for the wire gages at the wire stripper face of this tool. The gage markings are a light yellow printing over the top of what appears to be black paint, barely readable in poor light that I expect will wear away with use. It would be much better if the wire gage sizes were stamped into a polished area of the tool instead. For this reason, I am downrating this tool from what would have otherwise been 5-star. This tool has a warranty. At its option, Klein Tools will repair or replace, or refund the purchase price of, any product which fails to conform with the warranty. The warranty does not apply to damage from alterations, abuse, misuse, lack of maintenance, or normal wear and tear of the product. Proof of purchase from an Authorized Klein Tools Distributor is required for all warranty claims.
