This tool worked great when used properly. It is possible to cut too deep into the cable if one exceeds more than 2 or 3 rotations.

I realize this is an entry level tool, but some adjust ability would have been nice. It was easy to use and worked well. Just don’t turn it too many times or it will cut through all the shielding that you still need for the connection.

Strips well (quick and precise cuts), but users must be careful of direction since the tool is designed to strip one side of the cable as the outer (back thick end) and one side as inner (front compression end).

Using this is much easier than cutting and trimming the cable by hand like I did years ago. I do not know how it would hold up to everyday use, but for an occasional cable, it worked fine. It took me a few times to realize that it trimmed the dielectric and sheath at the same time.
