Does fit Palidin Crimpall, does not fit XceliteErgoCrimpWould recommend checking it with other crimp tool frames such as AMP, METERK, Whizzotek, Klein, etcNeeds to be a little shorter on inside to fully engageThe Die set does fully engage, and should work well if these issues are resolved.Non-Insulated/Open Barrel 10 to 20 AWG Crimping Die Set

The Klein VDV205-036 crimp dies are intended to fit the Klein VDV200-010 Ratcheting Crimper Frame. They are described as “Crimper Die, Non-Ins, Open Barrel, AWG 10-20”. Beyond that, they have no documentation, and apparently are intended for use with the type of crimp lugs that have a set of “fingers” that fold over both wire and insulation. Almost any Molex pin would be a good example. Unfortunately, most of what I have on hand for lugs are the type that wraps all the way around the stripped wire, and can be attached with ordinary Stake-On pliers. I can say that open-barrel pins will crimp well enough as long as they are copper or copper alloy. But the crimp pins I have are limited to a max wire size of 16-18 AWG, and they are not power or ground lugs. I have some larger ground rings that turned out to be tin-plated STEEL. Oopsie. With enough force, they did crimp with the short handled tool, but the results are nothing I would want to use or sell. See the picture. Again, most non-insulated crimp lugs I use are not open barrel, so I can use my Stake-Ons (Klein 1005s). And for small signal and power pins, at my work, we actually buy the appropriate Molex or Amp crimp tool, so I don’t need a generic crimp tool. There are other die sets (for the insulated Yellow, Blue and Red crimp lugs, and the Pin Terminals) available for the tool that would make it worthwhile to have, but this particular set of dies would not be of much use to me. If I were doing distribution panels, or similar work using 10 and 12 Gauge wire, maybe.

This die set is designed for attaching terminals to various sizes of wire for making specific types of connections. Very similar to crimping pliers normally used for attaching terminals to smaller gauge wire often used for automotive, these do the same with larger wires.Designed for use with the holder tool (sold separately) it can be used by lightly striking it with a hammer and the dies set on a board. Note: this isn’t the recommended method as they can be cracked if hammered to hard.If you’re a DYI’er or professional, this is a great tool for installing terminals to wires that are terminated in a service panel using plug in terminals or eyelets (for bolt on)

Awesome crimp bit set for the Klein Tool crimper tool. Easy to change out and set into place. Easy to set screws and lock into place. No mess or guess on how to set in the bit set. Easy andd quick change bits are clearly marked and easy to read. Lond lasting bits should last for ears of service. Bits are easy to read so they will cut down on errors and will make getting in and out of jobs quicker. Crimps are set sturdy and ensure that you will not over crimp ends.

I got these hoping these would fit my generic crimping tool, but these are 6mm thick and 34mm long where they insert into the crimper jaws and my old crimping tool only takes 4mm dies. I have the matching Klein VDV200-10 crimper frame on order, but haven’t received it yet. The dies are robustly made and should provide a lifetime of service. They also come with a lifetime warranty to make sure that they do.

The dies are very well made and work great as new or replacement dies for your crimper. These dies make very nice and very solid crimps on all types of butt connectors. These are interchangeable with the Klein ratcheting crimping tool so you can do multiple crimps on different cables and wires. And a bonus these will also fit Ideal crimpers. Highly recommend this jaw set!

These open barrel dies work great. They fit right into my crimping tool which is 20 plus years old and dropped one too many times. These replacements fit right in the tool and are solid and strong. In fact they will probably last longer than I will. They give a nice tight crimp that you cannot pull apart. I’ve tried with two pair of vice grips. So if your looking for a replacement pair give these a shot.

Not just another add on to the ratcheting crimping tool. This is a well made, high quality die set that will make any 10 to 20 AWG crimp job a breeze. The ratcheting crimping tool ensures pressure is maintained on the wires while crimping to prevent movement or the wires slipping out while you squeeze. The die set is 3/8 of an inch wide; enough surface to guarantee a tight not slip job wherever it is used. This is a professional tool that will give you professional results!

So, I have had these crimping dies for about a month now, and I don’t know how I lived without them. These are sp mich easier to use than my old crimping set, that required brute force. They supply a solid connection, every wire, every time. From all appearances, they are very well made, and will provide many years of service. As always, when it needs to be done correctly, I will trust Klein tools every time
