I’ve been a Diesel Tech for over a decade now and when it came time to buy some new side cutters, I decided to buy this set after noticing the pliers (pictured right) were the button adjustable type. This whole set cost less than just one set of Snap-On side cutters, so why not? I already had a set of Snap-On needle-nosed pliers so I wasn’t exactly excited to have another set. But after using them, I’ve realized they were not only substantially thinner but also had noticeably more grip. The needle-nose pliers are the real underdog of the set and are in my cart while my Snap-On set now collects dust in my big and unused toolbox. In fact, all three of the tools from this set get used daily. I cannot recommend this more highly, and I feel that everybody should own a set. Throw it in your vehicles emergency tool kit, buy it for your home tool set, just get these in your life! This set is perfect for literally everybody, and if you don’t put tools through the ringer like I do, you can expect a lifetime of amazing grip and leverage. I’ve owned this set for around 2 years, and even with heavy use, still grip like I just bought them yesterday.
