These pliers have a flat gripping surface. The grips feel comfortable in my hand, but the handles are on the small side. Lever action of the pliers is smooth and even. I used the pliers to form leads and pick up small components. No problems getting the job done.I was disappointed with the out-of-the-box quality. One of the gripping surfaces has an even brushed surface. The other surface was mostly the brushed surface, but it looks like it had been ground down or deburred. Also, there was a slight misalignment in the plier tips, which didn’t have any effect on what I was doing, but might have interfered with picking up small parts.Made in Germany
