The KNIPEX High Leverage CoBolt Mini Bolt Cutters are with a designed with a cutting-edge recess or notch near the joint to keep thicker wire in a better cutting position. The precision cutting edges will cut soft and hard wire. Cutting capacity: maximum 4 mm for hard wire. Cuts material like bolts, nails, rivets, etc. up to 5.2 mm diameter. Exceptional cutting performance with minimum effort because of new lever action design providing a 20:1 ratio. Cutting edges are induction hardened, cutting edge hardness approximately 64 HRC. Made of chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel forged, oil-hardened.

If you need an easy way to cut heavy wire, these are the way to go. We have heavy fencing wire which must be 6 or 8 gauge and these cut it with ease. The plastic grips are molded on so they don’t slip at all and give a nice surface to hold. The handles are long enough to give you some leverage and the jaw opens far enough. I believe these are made in Germany and they are built to work. Highly recommend!

These are excellent fencing cutters for my application. Mine came with a big “blob” of whatever they coat the tool with on the cutter. Makes no difference in function but would expect better control for the price. Still an awesome, heirloom quality tool.

Bolt cutters is a bit of an overstatement. Thick wire, big nails, and large screw cutter is a more accurate title. If you need to cut any of these items, this cutter is great and well built. Don’t expect to cut rebar or locks with this. You need something about 4 times the size.I received this 10 IN.
