I’ve had the item only long enough to test it on some hapless bolts I had lying around. With a bit of effort, it cuts through 1/2″ grade 5 bolts as advertised. I didn’t try it on 1/2″ grade 8 bolts. It cuts smaller bolts with ease. A great product and highly recommended.

Solid cuts every time, Cutting 3/16 1/4 and 5/16 EHS is my main use for the Cutter, every time clean cuts, not like the cheap ones

Knipex makes very high quality products. Ive purchased the large bolt cutters recently and i must say they are very well built and cuts through bolts and rebar like butter. I also appreciate the ability to change out the cutter when it gets dull without having to replace the entire tool. Lastly the ability to adjust the cutting edge is a plus.
