Absolutely the best parallel pliers on the market, worth every penny! All sizes outperform the competition. You’ll never be sorry you spent money on a Knipex tool!

Wow, this is one of those tools you didn’t know you needed, but won’t let go of once you have one. It’s more of an upgraded Crescent/spanner wrench than a pair of pliers, but still much better, with a few key differences. First and probably most noticeable, you don’t have the typical slop or slippage that you get with a Crescent wrench. Working in tight areas is a bit easier as well as the jaws are a bit slimmer than the usual wrench, and adjustments are easier as you don’t have to remove and re-adjust the mouth of the tool to continue to tighten/loosen. The jaws are flat and smooth, unlike a pair of pliers, which is excellent when you’re working on anything with parallel flats, or when you need to grab and straighten something, for example. Not having the serrations on the jaws may make a few things harder, but I’ve found they are a lot more useful and I’m not wrapping electrical tape or something over my pliers to keep from marring up some surface I’m trying to grab. The 7″ish wrench is probably the right size for 90% of household jobs, but if you’re working on anything serious, you may want to bump up to a larger wrench.Overall this is an excellent tool. The price is steep, but I wouldn’t trade it for any number of cheap Chinese pliers/wrenches. (Knipex tools are made in Germany for those who may be interested).

3 different sizes to choose from. I discovered these while working in the aviation industry. I have incorporated them in carpentry and plumbing. All Knipex products are worth owning.

Traditional adjustable wrenches are now obsolete. These are my go to tool for quick jobs when I don’t need my tool box. Hands down worth every single penny. -Industrial Millwright.

You want me to rate a pair of pliers? You must be very insecure… OK – they squeeze stuff really well. They are expensive, but also not made by Chinese peasants working in a dirt floor factory. First world quality has a cost I guess. German workers get paid a fair wage and get excellent government run health care (just look at their covid-19 death rate vs the US). I am willing to pay the extra cost in order to support first world workers – like myself. You should too. This tool will last a lifetime and get passed down, so in that light it is quite inexpensive. It is also a very clever design. So if someone out there really needs my opinion before buying a pair of pliers, there it is.

Very versatile tool. Replaced my adjustable wrench in my tool bag

This is an extremely versatile well designed and well made tool that not only replaces the need for a crescent wrench, but also a pliers that is able to strongly grip and remove hex nuts and bolts without marring their surfaces or rounding off their edges. Also it can handle much greater size hexes than a similarly sized crescent wrench. I use it to replace the above mentioned tools and thereby lighten my dirt bike off road tool kit.

The Knipex pliers wrench comes in several sizes, but this 7 1/4″ version is going to be the handiest and most useful. It has a very good jaw opening range and is compact enough to get into tight spaces where a conventional adjustable wrench would be useless. You can “ratchet” the Knipex by slightly releasing your grip and turning it around the bolt or nut a flat at a time, then tighten your grip and turn in the desired direction. I’m going to get another one to keep in my car; it is ideal for working under the hood where working room is limited.
