There is so much to like about this pliers. The angled handle is so handy. I do not recall how many times that a straight on grip of a nut was impossible and left me cursing with bleeding knuckles. The push button adjustment is also great when you are under a sink with no room and trying to tighten a nut a quarter turn, then turn the pliers around and turn it a quarter turn etc… and the adjustment is lost. Never again!. Finally, the jaws are a smooth jaw. No more scuffing chrome faucet parts. Oh yeah, I almost forgot that they are thin. They will fit where most adjustable lock pliers will not fit. This pliers is definitely in the top drawer of my tool cabinet.

KNIPEX 10 in. Angled Pliers Wrench has a number of features, the most unique for this tool, is the action of the jaws. Typical wrenches close around a set point fastener which causes the jaws not to to remain parallel when used. The jaws form an angle around the nut as closes down on it. As you can see on the tool, these saws ride on a geared lever. This action keeps the jaws level or parallel as they close. This makes better, secure contact with the nut preventing stripping and more force can be applied to a larger area on the fastener. The tool’s geometry here is different from most adjustable wrenches. Another aspect of this wrench is that its not straight, but the handle is angled out 15-degrees so that it can fit flush up against a wall or obstruction and still allow you to get your hands around it to exert maximum force and control. Because of the improved grip holding the nut fastener, the jaws don’t have to be serrated as with other wrenches. They are smooth so are ideal for plumbing work where high chromed fitting could easily be marred or scratched. With the ten inch wrench size it opens to a maximum of 1 3/4-inches. Its works better than an adjustable wrench. I found you can use it easier with one hand for ratchet action, turn the nut then ease up slipping Knipex forward or backward on the nut until it slides into position and tighten up again. Its easier and quicker than other my other adjustable wrenches. This is because the locking mechanism doesn’t slip open all the way. Overall, its a pro tool, expensive, but if you use it regularly its worth having a good tool.
