We have used these pliers for years. They are durable and have a nice grip range.

So this is my third set of pliers from Knipex. They seem to be well built and I’m sure they will hold up over time. I also have pliers from other manufacturers, but I think these are the best I’ve seen to date. You will certainly pay more for this brand but you should get your money out of them as long as you don’t abuse them.

Just wish home Depot sold these in their store. Other then that the tool does what it’s made to.

So much more easier and a lot more reliable than a plain channel lock

I held off for a long time before buying this wrench and endured the adoration of the internet for this wrench, but with HD selling it for only $26 I treated myself. It is a great tool and I find myself reaching for the Knipex ahead of the Channelocks every time. However, while a really good tool, they are not as magical as the internet knuckleheads would have you believe. What really separates these from traditional pliers is their ability to put far more force into whatever you are working on without the jaws opening. Also, the quality of the steel and the machining of the jaw teeth are vastly superior to any other wrench I have used. So if you find an extra $26 bucks in an old pair of jeans, definitely get yourself this wrench.

BEST PLIER ON THE MARKET can hold the adjustment button in while putting on pipe bolt whatever and it self adjusts, also the cut in the jaw allows for turning a nut without “boogering” it up, also opens wider than most other pliers, the first generation plier was the best until the curved jaw pair came on the market

I’m pretty new to the knipex line. I’ve always used pretty much whatever ex. Channel lock, cresent,Milwaukee and pretty much anything that was cheap. I had some guys that kept telling me just give knipex a try and boy I’m glad I did they definitely knew something I didn’t. These 10in cobras are amazing they will grab and not let go with minimal force being applied to the handles!! They are so light and strong you can tell when your holding them they are German built quality!! If your on the fence about spending more than you normally would on a pair of pliers don’t be they are a one time purchase from the biggest tool retailer in the world!!!

I’ve been in the plumbing business over 20 years all other pliers don’t compare a little more money but we’ll worth it sure channel lock makes good pliers but if u want the best get the knipex

Absolutley love the thin-jaw profile. For how wide they open, you will not find a skinnier jaw. I use them on larger brass fittings, as they do not scar the soft brass as much as a pipe wrench. Cheaper than most large adjustable wrenches too!

First off, buy these pliers, in whatever size you need. I was leery of the push button adjust, thought it was a gimmick, but these things are German engineering at its finest. The jaw is large, the pliers are slim, and they look amazing as they perform. Haven’t run into anything too big to grip yet, peep the picture of a 2 & 1/4″ lock ring with room to spare. I peeked in the tool boxes of the seasoned electricians and they all had a mini version of these, after trying mine, now a bunch have the full size. Go for it.

You must use these and see them in person to appreciate the quality and design.First, the button is MUCH easier to use than traditional “slip-joint” designs. It adjusts to size accurately, quickly and STAYS there. There is practical ZERO slop or “play” in that adjustment. That means they grab nuts and bolts more securely and damage them less than other designs. The precision-milled teeth are too tiny to see in most photographs, but look closely in person; You’ll see they point in one direction. That can be either clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on how you position the tool on a nut, and that’s the whole point. That simple yet thoughtful feature makes it MUCH easier to let them slip around the nuts or bolts you are tightening or breaking loose in one direction, yet they instantly grab in the other. You get the nut in place ( or off) faster and with minimal damage, whereas regular pliers round-over and deface nuts and bolts. That’s especially nice on plumbing parts made of soft metals. These are slimmer than equivalent sized slip-joints too. That makes them easier to fit into tight places. They are noticeably lighter. Any reduction in weight (without sacrificing functionality) is ALWAYS welcome in my tool kits!I’ll still keep my old channel-locks… (you know, the ones with the blue handles,) but they will inhabit the large tool box I do not ever carry. These new Knipex pliers are replacing my heavy clunky old tools one by one as i need them.By the way, I hear many people mispronounce the brand name Knipex. The “K” is silent just like in the word “knee.” The “i” sounds like “ee.” So say, “Knee-pex” like they do in the commercials. So far, every Knipex hand tool I’ve tried is superb and when you consider they are lifetime tools for professional use, even the price is reasonable. I reviewed these because they were the first Knipex tool I invested in and hence the ones I have the most experience with so far. I use them more than any other plier and they are truly better than any others I’ve found in fifty years of using hand-tools.Highly recommended.
