Push the buton and lock the mouth of the tool open. Yes, it is the large size. I have had 3 of the smaller models of this same tool for over 20 years. They have stood up to the wear and tear of time. The grips are still in one peice. look at the photo see for yourself.Great Value-my Uncle told me these were the best and he was right!

these are the best i’ve found! can’t slip and trap your fingers,ergonomically designed for power, grip, comfort,and (with dexterity) can operate one handed when needed. only negative would be price.but the best is usually more expensive and will last. would like another pair with flat/parallel jaws.have the mid size and the cutters(to flush cut nails),which are outstanding. hd much less $ than the blue box store.

Obviously a very high quality tool and well worth the money. Doesn’t get 5 stars because my set has a LOT of slop betwixt the handles. You can reef on these will all your weight and they hardly flex. Other than that, this is one bad BAD tool.
