10 inch Cobra Pliers. Made in Germany by Knipex. Most of the information on the package concerns safety and the use of a tether to prevent you from dropping the tool to the floor or on someone below you. I couldn’t find the appropriate tether on the Home Depot site but more information is available at http://WWW.KNIPEX-TOOLS.COM. Look under “products” “tethered pliers”. Can be used for round stock up to 2 inches and 1 3/4 inch hex stock. More adjustment positions than the usual channel type pliers but takes a little trial & error to get the right opening. You also need to push a button to adjust the opening but it stays where you set it. Nice rubber like coating on the handles and hardened teeth.

10 in. Cobra Pliers with Dual-Component Comfort Grips and Tether Attachment. These pliers are manufactured in Germany and are of great quality. They are designed for the lineman or electrician. The pliers have a metal ring at the end of the insulated handles in order to attach a tether. The pliers open from 1-3/4 to 2″ grip. The release of the grip is with a very easy push button. Nicely made.

This is an unusual pair of pliers. The adjustment area is so precise, not great leaps to adjust to next size like the other pliers. Push the button and it will conform to whatever you need to wrench on. Then close the handles (note that they fit into a smaller hand) and turn the object on or off. It’s almost like these new easy adjust clamps that they have come out with.
