This adapter allows the selection of a square drain in your sink which, as a designer, I value the option. This square drain adapter creates a very unique look for the sink, one that would be thought of as a ‘designer’ model. As far as I know, there are not any other square drains for kitchen sinks available from other companies. Thank you for being innovative!

Looks great and seems to drain well. Easy to install. Only wish that the tailpiece was longer. Had to get a much longer tailpiece and have no use for the 4inch one. The straining basket also doesn’t catch all food/debris, but that was sort of expected. If you want to filter out all debris from going down the drain, you’ll have to go with a mesh strainer. But I do love the way this adds to my sinks look. Solid construction

Very happy with this purchase. I ordered 2 at different price points, could not see any difference, weight was about the same so I returned the one that cost almost twice as much.

There are a few diagrams for dimensions, but it leaves out a critical dimension where the length of the corner bumpers are not given. On the underside of the corner bumpers is another lip that protrudes out about 1/4″ from the side of the colander well. See photo. The diagram shows it but doesn’t give a dimension. That lip makes for a very snug fit. My sink fits under a granite countertop so the granite top overlaps the metal sink by about 1/4″. I lucked out on how my contractor made the granite cutout so that this colander fits PERFECTLY SNUG without any play. So measure carefully before buying. You don’t want too much play where the colander can fall into the sink, or the colander part doesn’t completely fit into the tub of your sink.As a colander it is EXTREMELY handy. Besides washing veggies, I use it to rinse off salmon filets, chicken legs, chicken thighs, etc. Being stainless steel, the colander washes and scrubs out very clean with no residues. I put all my washed foods in this colander and let them drip dry before transferring them to a chopping board, preventing my chopping board from getting sopping wet with water.

This came with a Krause sink and we love it. Because it’s deep with holes going up the sides, it hold a lot of debris and still drains. Other strainers must be emptied frequently. We have a single basin sink and no garbage disposal (by choice) and we don’t miss the disposal at all.You can justify this product by price alone $29 vs the price of a disposal…

If you’re using one of the Kraus sinks with the square drains, you’ve got to have this adapter to install a garbage disposal. The finish on the adapter is such that it perfectly complements the sink’s finish… Works great!
