Now this is the Cats meow! This is a real Home Run. Even though I have other versions of this tool this makes things run like clock work. A great investment. I recommend it.

The machine came fully assembled, except for the dust collection hose. After 2 min. of adjustments, making pocket holes as well as machines costing 3x the price. Kreg has an excellent market presence which makes picking up bits and accessories very easy. Would not hesitate to purchase another.

Works like a charm. I’m a novice to slight professional woodworker. I used this Pocket Hole Machine for my Ultimate miter saw stand face frames. The only qualm if you will is the fact that they used a lot of plastic in the construction of this outfit. Its just that in a comercial application I would be hesitant to use it do to that. I understand everything is resorting to plastic but some things should always stay machined metal of some kind.

The good:If you have a large project it’s great. Make extension tables for each side to hold large items like bottoms of cabinets along with a fence with spacing marks so no measuring for spacing required. Although 6″ spacing is recommended between pocket holes, I do 4″. You can get into production mode very quickly. I couldn’t imagine using another system on large projects with several 100 of pocket holes. The bad:They really need to have a better locking system for both depth and the arm/portion of the clamp that holds your work in place securely when drilling the holes. These simple plastic retaining nuts do not work well at all. They should have included star lock washers for the retaining nuts which remedies the problem. Be very careful on your depth as you can easily drill too deep when using their included depth gauge even on true and measured 3/4″ stock and hardwood plywoods. These simple oversights keep it from being a 5 star machine.
