Just squeeze the padded handles and the clamp locks closed, no matter what the thickness. AutoMaxx Face Clamps also feature easy-to-regulate clamping pressure that you can simply set and forget. Auto-Adjust technology maintains the desired pressure every time. In addition to these great features, AutoMaxx Face Clamps feature extra-large clamp faces, comfortable padded handles and heavy-duty construction. AutoMaxx Clamps automatically adjust to the material thickness, whether it’s thick, thin or in between. You can clamp a 2×4 and then a piece of 1/2 in. plywood without ever readjusting the clamp. AutoMaxx makes it easy to regulate clamping pressure. Just set your desired pressure by turning the thumbscrew for more or less pressure. Once the pressure is set, the clamp maintains consistent clamping pressure with every thickness. All AutoMaxx Clamps feature a heavy-duty, all-metal construction to withstand years of rugged use.

This is a really easy to use with two hands clamp. Self adjusting and consistent pressure on what you are holding in place. My only negative is that it is really hard to operate with one hand. That is important when your other hand is busy holding a jig in place. Overall a great clamp and would purchase again,

Don’t use the Kreg pocket jig without this clamp. It make for very easy and accurate work when drilling numerous holes. I highly recommend it!

I bought this clamp to assist with marking the drill Mark’s for cabinet hardware for drawer pulls and holding the drill jig in place. It worked great.You need a bit of space to use the clamp since it is bulky.You also have to adjust the amount of locking pressure and it can be a little tedious when both hands are in use but it is doable.I would buy this again if I needed another clamp for work around the house.

Clamp was instrumental in building a platform bed and a desk for my nieces for Christmas this year. It’s extremely handy when working alone and I use it all the time. One can never have enough clamps and all of the Kreg tools are my favorites when building furniture. Pocket holes are the way to go!
