AutoMaxx Face Clamps feature new technology that adjusts the clamps automatically, eliminating the need to readjust the clamp for every change in material thickness. Just squeeze the padded handles and the clamp locks closed, no matter what the thickness. AutoMaxx Face Clamps also feature easy-to-regulate clamping pressure that you can simply set and forget. Auto-Adjust technology maintains the desired pressure every time. In addition to these great features, AutoMaxx Face Clamps feature extra-large clamp faces, comfortable padded handles and heavy-duty construction. AutoMaxx Clamps automatically adjust to the material thickness, whether it’s thick, thin or in between. You can clamp a 2×4 and then a piece of 1/2 in. plywood without ever readjusting the clamp. AutoMaxx makes it easy to regulate clamping pressure. Just set your desired pressure by turning the thumbscrew for more or less pressure. Once the pressure is set, the clamp maintains consistent clamping pressure with every thickness. All AutoMaxx Clamps feature a heavy-duty, all-metal construction to withstand years of rugged use.

Im not sure why anyone would have a problem using these clamps? Need more power, turn it up. To hard to close( which means it is turned up to much) then turn it down! Great clamps!!!

Worth the extra $10 over normal, similarly shaped vice grips just because of the auto adjusting feature by itself. Then add in the quick pressure adjustment and rubber grips and you’re golden! I’m buying more for sure!

“Set and forget” clamping pressure sounds too good to be true, and just like to Alecia Nugent song says, it is (based on the two I own). About one time in four I have to work the handles back and forth a couple of times to get it to remember what it’s supposed to do. About one time in ten that doesn’t work and I have to adjust the little back dial to get back to the pressure I want. Overall, I like but do not love these clamps, and I’m slightly disappointed.
