Kreg Wood Project Clamps are perfect for Kreg Joinery, project assembly, general clamping and more. These versatile clamps have large clamp faces that distribute clamping force evenly and won’t mar delicate surfaces. They are compatible with the Kreg Jig R3’s Clamp Pad Adapter and with the Kreg Jig Portable Base. Thanks to Automaxx Auto-Adjust Technology, Wood Project Clamps adjust to match material thickness automatically with a simple squeeze of the handle – whether the material is thick, thin, or in between. You can clamp a 2 x 4 and then a piece of 1/2 in. plywood without ever readjusting the clamp. Easily regulate clamping pressure with a simple thumbscrew. Just set your desired pressure by turning the thumbscrew for more or less pressure. Once the pressure is set, the clamp maintains consistent clamping pressure with every thickness.

I bought this clamp to go with my Kreg Jigs that I have. This clamps works great. This clamp holds well and when you’re ready to release it, it releases very easily. I know on some clamps you have to fight with it just to get it to release. Not this one. My only complaint about this clamp is the adjustments. I feel the adjustment wheel is in a bad spot and it’s pretty touchy when making adjustments. Not a deal breaker because this is still a great clamp.

Have wanted the deep reach Kreg automaxx clamp for awhile. I sometimes find I need a deeper reach than the other Kreg clamps I use. If it continues to be as useful as it is now, I will probably buy at least one more.

Kregs products are always pretty good, but this is a HUGE time saver. I use it for everything. It’s like a vice grip with a brain. Not only does it “sense” the thickness of your work, but the clamping force is easily user adjustable. The learning curve on the self adjuster is about 2 seconds. Brilliant product. I’ll actually be picking up a couple more.

I bought this in conjunction with the Kreg R3 Pocket Hole Jig. It made securing the jig to the workpiece and the bench a snap, allowing me to bore lots of pocket holes quickly without worrying about things slipping around. There’s an adjustment for the clamping strength, which is useful, but it takes a little experimentation to figure out where to set it.

I’ve used this Kreg 6″ auto clamp for many different woodworking projects, from building the kitchen & laundry room cabinets to installing the hinges, handles & knobs (along with Kreg’s Cabinet Hardware Jig.) I like that you can fine tune the amount of pressure on the auto lock, which you have to be careful of, as the face clamp can leave a mark or indentation on the wood surface. These are very well made and should serve you for a lifetime, I’d make sure you order at least 2 as they are so handy. I highly recommend them!
