The Concealed Hinge Jig takes the guesswork out of installing cabinet doors using concealed hinges. The Concealed Hinge Jig allows you to drill cup holes for concealed cabinet door hinges (sometimes called Euro hinges) using just a drill. The jig positions an included carbide-tipped bit exactly at the proper position and offset and drills to the perfect depth every time thanks to adept stop collar. The Kreg Concealed Hinge Jig takes the guesswork out of drilling those holes and allows you to do it with nothing more than a drill and the carbide-tipped bit that comes with the jig. Note: A 1/16 in. bit is required to drill for hinge-mounting screws. Not included. The Concealed Hinge Jig consists of a glass-filled nylon base with a hole that receives a drill guide. Indexing cams ensure that the jig positions the bit to drill a hole at the required offset which is dictated by each hinge and a built-in stop collar ensures that the cup depth is correct every time. There are even holes that you can use to guide a bit for hinge screw holes. The Concealed Hinge Jig comes with a high-quality, carbide tipped bit to ensure great results. Just pick out your hinges, look up a few basic mounting instructions that come with them and then set up the Concealed Hinge Jig by adjusting a pair of built-in cams. After that, you are set to drill hinge cup holes using any ordinary drill.

The Kreg Jig works very well. I highly recommend for DIY’rs and experienced woodworkers. It truly simplifies the project. One recommendation for anyone using a hand drill. “Place the project low enough so that you can apply pressure straight down. The tendency to lean forward or backwards will make your cup oblong as well as affect the angle of your screw holes. You may also break or wear out the guide the bit sits in.Only problem I have with this kit is the offset adjustments are only adjustable from 3-6mm in full 1mm increments and not start at 2mm and include 1/2mm adjustments. It would allow for better fine tuning on older cabinets that dont fit into the standard cabinet definitions in use today. If you have a lot of doors, then buy an extra forstner bit. Kreg kit is proprietary, so you have to use their bit with the kit.

This product is good and has done well for me so far. I built some doors and used this for the hinges. It works great. I like that the adjustments are made in millimeters. As you can see on the back of the unit, there are angles to the pegs which spaces it out. My only issues are the slots where the woods comes out is too small. I was drilling into walnut and it got stuck and would not drill any more. I had to completely remove it and restart. Also, the plastic used to house the drill portion seems a bit flimsy. I think over time it may wear down from the heat that is caused by friction.

I was very excited to buy this jig as the crews I buy from Kreg are awesome, my K4 pocket jig works well… and other items…This Hinge Jig feels cheap, there’s limitations from depth of the bit to how deep you can place the jig or where you place it..The most disappointing part was the bit, the bit is not sharp at all and will tear a lot of material and it struggles to cut.I have a lot of Diablo Bits and they cut so smooth. For a DIY that is just starting i guess it’s an okay tool but I wouldn’t recommend it for people that have high exceptions and would want to use this for high end detailed work.

on the negative side package arrived from home depot unopened yet 2 of 6 parts were missing. I immediately called Kreg customer service and explained what happened. They told me i could either exchange it at home depot or that Kreg would send me a new one. I asked them to send me one and they did.I also have the pocket screw jig. I needed a new stop collar, called kreg to buy one and they sent one for freeCustomer Service at Kreg couldn’t be better. I will definitely buy their products in the future

I’v only drilled 8 hinge holes so far, but the jig has worked as described and the bit cuts a super-smooth hole in my red oak doors. Drilling isn’t fast, but the finished result is great! Highly recommend a pair of Kreg Classic 3″ face clamps (sold separately) to speed the setup process along!

Item works fine. Did not realize that it is only designed to drill a 1/2 inch depth hole — many hinges are less than this. I machined a washer to make stop work for 7/16 inch depth hinges that I have because 1/2 would have been too much.

Kreg products make difficult tasks amazingly simple! I had a cabinet door that needed drilled for European hinges. No one in the store even knew what a forstner bit was). For $29.95, HomeDepot.com made it simple, delivered it for free, and it turned out perfect! GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Building cabinet doors and used this jig for the hinges. This makes the hole drilling process very easy and straight forward. Very intuitive to set up and use. It is a bit expensive though if only using it for a few doors though.
